Do you think it was "tyranny" for the US to request a visit to Otto Warmbier in North Korea?

Your arguments are sinking to koods' level.

That would be a terrible decision - how would that even work out for them in a positive manner?

I'm sure if they wanted to finish the job they'd carry it out in a covert manner, not use two diplomats in a public meeting under high suspicion.

Exactly.

She's a Russian citizen; she probably wants to meet with her own people rather than being isolated in a British hospital.

That should be up to her.  I'm guessing she'd rather stay away from the folks who tried to kill her.

Russia has some strange ways, apparently, of killing those they see as betraying them.

All the more reason to be against authoritarian personalities.

More fun reading.  The source is unknown to me, but the material is logical.

Salisbury Incident Report: Hard Evidence For Soft Minds
Quote:

...in late 2016, Iranian scientists set out to study whether novichoks really could be produced from commercially available ingredients. Iran succeeded in synthesising a number of novichoks. Iran did this in full cooperation with the OPCW and immediately reported the results to the OPCW so they could be added to the chemical weapons database.

So much for only Russia could do this.

And it turns out Julian Assange tweeted about this.

No wonder the "DURRR, PUTIN!!!" crowd hates him.

Maybe, but probably not.  Maybe Clinton has some strange ways of killing those she sees as betraying them, but probably not.

sorry if I've missed it in trying to catch up with this thread.. but what evidence?

The chemical was also produced in a research facility a few miles from the use of it on these two people.

As far as i've seen, there is no evidence that Russia is involved. It looks like May is making a lot of noise to distract from the daily mess that is Brexit negotiations.

Corbyn is the only person coming out saying that we should look into the evidence before making such big claims and encouraging conflict.

The Conservative Party is known for depending on a lot of Russian oligarch money and for koods to call her a real leader is actually hilarious.

I don't like Putin, I can appreciate his strength as a leader but he must be an awful person to get to where he has.

But, like Falcon, I like to see evidence. If I've missed it being posted in this group then someone please direct it my way!!

THANKS

Only because you haven't looked.  The evidence so far is that the victim was a Russian traitor, and that he was attacked by a very rare nerve agent developed by Russia.  That's motive, means, and opportunity right there.

Other evidence that wouldn't necessarily be admissible is the fact that Russia has a tendency to use exotic poisons and substances to kill and wait years to exact such revenge.

That's one of many plausible explanations.

Using Enlil's definition of "evidence" (motive, means, and opportunity), there is evidence that Britain and the US did it too.

Again, we don't know who did it (unless Enlil is hiding something from us).

To smear Russia as they continue to gain influence with the EU.

There could be other possible motives as well, like stopping the gas pipeline, or others we don't even know about.  Maybe the UK found out that Skripal was working with Julia on Russia's behalf.
