GAHHHHHHHH

This is frustrating. I birthed 5 cakes about 8 or 9 days ago, and i have seen nothing grow on them new except a tiny tiny ball of fuzz, with a circumference the width of a nag champa stick. But nothing has come out of those, they just kinda sit on the cake, and either fall off after a while and i don't see them or something else happens and they disappear. The cakes, as far as i can tell, are perfectly healthy, and 3 of the 5 have some really strong looking myc on them. I also cold shocked three of them, but that hasn't done anything either.

I guess the real answer I'm looking for is how important is temperature in the harvesting stage? I know it's suppose to be from 70 to 76, but if it's not this ALL the time will they simply not grow? I have a heater in my room that i cannot turn off, and I'd have to leave my windows open 24/7 for a drop in temperature like that. Thanks guys. :mushroom2:

It doesnt have to be this temperature all the time, but wrong temperatures lead to slower pinning and fruit formation. Btw 9 days isnt that long. Just wait a little more.

yes, just wait
you might actually have pins forming and not know it. my dog has mistaken obvious pins for just another piece of vermiculite. but once he identifies a pin, and sees its position, he cant overlook it again.

also, if you birth your cakes on the dry verm barrier DOWN, then they could be forming under there, in which case, they'll grow out of the bottom and you wont see it for a couple days.

daily temps in dogs terrarium go from 70-80, colder during the nights....my thermostat is a bit messed, so unless its incredibly hot or cold, the ac/heater doesnt come on. but he still gets fruits and they dont dissapoint.

patience grasshopper. =)
