In that case I'd keep the plate to see if anything pops up eventually and give it another shot. Do what works well for you

I've got some 6 year old spores on especially stiff agar right now. (14g/500ml, Telephone brand) It's been 4 days. Not sure I want to wait 6 weeks to see if anything happens. Thinking about doing some more with, like, 7g/500ml.

I just put a five year old print to agar. my standard recipe, did a streak plate with a loop.
Nothing but small orange bacterial spots for the first 6 days or so then only two tiny spots of myc formed from the whole plate. I transferred them both after about 10 days.
Another avenue I've heard people having success with is making a syringe from the print, this helps hydrate the spores before knocking up a plate. There's even threads on forced hydration, leaving needle off and capping syringe and weighing down plunger to create positive pressure inside over night

I don't know how to link it but look up Stro's spore salvage with forced hydration & Stro's Spore Salvage with Malt Yeast Carbon Agar (MYCA) I've done/ been doing this with syringes and prints 5 years old or so and I'm experimenting with one as old as 10 years (edited for highness)

Stro's spore salvage with forced hydration & Stro's Spore Salvage
You can try the rubber band trick too.
Same principle as this thread here Stro's Spore Salvage with Forced Hydration
Except you wrap a rubber band long ways to hold the plunger tight making pressure.

Is there a place to ask stupid wuestions like how to make hyperlinks and how to remove certain threads from your "my threads" and why some people have two rows of shrooms on their name instead of just one row?
If there is such a place no one prob frequents it to answer such queries
