500 plus hours on Civ.  And now the expansion pack.  It's amusing to me to have so much living in a one bedroom apartment.  Great laptop, streaming on my T.V. through Apple, a great soundbar, microphone and speaker to practice my voice when going out to sing, and everything I need.

It's strange to just feel content and happy. But yeah, Civ is like chess and strategy.  So many games are so fast paced it's hard to focus.  Just bought the prequel to Life is Strange and downloading now.  Will buy The evil within 2 when it goes down from 60 U.S. and also going to buy a PlayStation 4 1 TB for the sole purpose of playing The Show and blue-rays.

Just watching refugees coming in on boats for basic survival on the news and third world poverty we have it quite good for the most part living in industrialized countries.  Life is good.

Fortnite is a love/hate game.

The amount of times I kill people with ease & guns hit how they should but next game I am just as quickly to blow someones head off with a shotgun & have them only take like 10 dmg while they blow me away in 2 shots.

The games hit box/bloom on the aim needs serious fixing & the random dmg counter that seems to randomly misjudge most shots needs attention.

I'm sure they'll fix any "hit" errors.  That's what seems to be great about Epic Games is they are really listening to Fortnite fan base and try to fix errors in the game

It seems to be a real a thing, if you search around people also confirm the same issue.

I remember reading a post about people that actually tested it by finding each other in a Solo game & shooting each other with shotguns point blank range & would have very different number's from high to low.

It's clearly an issue.

They seem to have no problem with adding more DLC pay skins, but not fixing core shit like the DMG counter.

My first time playing through a Zelda game, holds up great in 2018. Graphics scale nicely on SNES Classic!

Playing Surviving Mars; somehow managed to put 10 hours into it on launch day
blame Patlal for his Elon Musk stuff in the Pub e.e
xD

It is a nice, relatively relaxing contrast to They Are Billions
set up a Mars colony with drones, get life support running, ship people out for more important tasks
currently have three domes; two small ones mining rare minerals to sell
then a third small one but with apartment complexes
that all the kids from the other two domes get flown to when old enough to move out

the building and vehicle/drone pool does not feel very diverse or robust
which combined with the slow pace of the game makes building domes feel kind of sparse
the sort of minimalist nature of Domes goes with the aesthetic of Mars
but it does not (yet) have the sort of vast and connected feeling of late-game Cities Skylines
Am only about half way to the first 100 day assessment,
so things may get more diverse as the technology tree is filled out more
but thinking that the game is going to be pretty mod-reliant to build really interesting colonies
they have made mod tools available and the Steam Workshop is already populating tho

also still only on small domes;
it may feel more interesting with the larger domes and higher building capacity
rather than having to be strictly limited to a couple of tasks each

was worried the game was going to stress me out
because colonists can go crazy and commit suicide
but playing as a Psychologist leader and ensuring good mental health
so everyone in my colony is feeling secure and level-headed:thumbup:

I've just reactivated my WoW account after not playing for... hmm... going on 2 yearsish I guess it'd be now...!?! And tbh, I haven't really played anything at all except for Diablo III on the very rare occasion during that time period.

If anybody else around here still plays (& wouldn't mind meeting some new company), message me so I can add you on Bnet... pls & ty <3 =) I play on EU(despite living in North America) atm but I may go back to NA pretty soon, assuming I do stick with playing relatively consistently. The people I used to play with have all quit; it'd be nice to have people to play with again... *especially* if said people were fellow shroomerites! :mushroom2:

Destiny 2, though it is getting lame.  Once you aquire all exotics, you lose drive to keep playing the same old grind.  I find myself putting the controller down before completing any daily or weekly tasks for this reason.  Clash of clans and Clash Royale is fun on my phone.

Havent touched it in about a month because of that. Just no real rewards for doing the same old raids and Nightfalls.

Same here.

I really tried to give it a chance, I love Destiny.  I think it's a great game and I love all the different looks you can have, guns and other things but there just wasn't enough to do.

Too much repetitiveness with some recycled missions.  I also felt like the Nightfall was a lot harder.

I never even got high enough to do a raid cause I got bored.  I heard even the first raid is crazy hard.

Hit 16 hours and taking a break,
there is apparently more to it than the surface level
bigger domes means being able to run a combination of services
experimenting with a psychiatric tower that gets rid of peoples negative traits
then shipping them back to various work domes
also have had to basically throw up a dome of just housing
as people who get old retire and leave the workforce
but don't just turn around and die -- so they have to be shuttled to a new living quarters
and someone else assigned to work at their job

there is definitely micromanaging that has been under my radar/ignored while learning it
can presumably use the school to generate Martianborn colonists of varying specialties
to maximize effectiveness and efficiency in workflow
but have only started to play around with things like that in the mid-sized dome

The part that had me take a break
was after scanning the surface of the planet and sending my research drones out
happened across a weird reflective orb/egg thing buried in the dirt
now the game is giving me options to attempt to communicate with it through radio waves
or attempt to drill into it with a drone
and am avoiding taking action because the trailer for the game
had a bunch of big reflective spheres floating over the colony suctioning things up
and am really not ready for any sort of disaster management:lol:

not really clear on what it will develop into and how it will mechanically impact the game
spent the past couple days taking screenshots in Skyrim and posting on the Bethesda forums show your character thread
so my insights are still paused there at the moment :cookiemonster:
