Guns and Trump
    #25045973 - 03/07/18 01:50 PM (6 years, 23 days ago)

The last time I saw, Trump was talking like an uneducated moron about guns. I doubt the bastard has even fired a gun.

In Washington, Trump said he wanted to confiscate guns first and use courts later.

What the fuck kind idiot ass logic is this?

I have been looking for updates on the gun solutions, but I have not found anything.

Was the meeting in Washington just for show or is Trump going to take our rights and guns away?

If he dares, he will not get my vote ever again.

Because. The government is not planning some firearm seizure against law abiding citizens and if they decided to, well we know how that would end.

This is what you get when you vote for a con man. I wouldn't worry about it too much though, he's always flapping his jaw. He's in the hip pocket of the NRA... Remember recently he said he would have entered the building unarmed while an active shooter was taking others lives yet he received five deferments from serving in the war due to bone spurs.

He's always been been a scumbag showman. This is what you voted for... Enjoy the show!

Still. Considering the alternative, being Hillary Clinton, I slept perfectly fine knowing trump won. Like a baby, in fact.

Whenever a lifelong liberal such as Donald Trump starts talking about guns hilarity ensues. :cookiemonster:

I saw a liberal claim the other day that Russians were donating vast sums of money to the NRA in large part due to their interest in the sale of AK-47's in the US market.

:laugh2:

You can't even import Russian firearms for sale in the US.....

Whatever Torshin’s links to the Russian mob, he certainly makes no secret of his ties to the NRA.

Russians have an interest in the organization, not least, because of the extensive sale of AK-47 assault rifles in the American market. Indeed, after the gun’s inventor, Mikhail Kalashnikov, died in December 2013 at 94, Torshin published an obituary in The Washington Times.

That press conference was all show.
He is bought and paid for by the NRA.

BTW, he's had CC in NYC since before he was elected and allegedly
owns a Smith & Wesson .38 special and a H&K 45(who knows what else).

Jesse James made a custom 1 for him, too.

That's pretty sweet. I donated 17 cents to the NRA yesterday as part of a round up and give 'em your change plan.

Neat guns.

I read the article and associated links and said "Hmmm, maybe he's right". So I did a search and found the gun is illegal in specific states but in those states there are loopholes for transfers...

The gun can be imported as a single shot weapon but apparently can be easily converted.

In which US states is it legal for citizens to purchase, own, and operate an AK-47 assault rifle? How can I attain one in those states?

Dude, you have completely jumped time and missed the point.

Of course you can own an AK-47. I own one. Mine is Bulgarian.

What does any of that have to do with my original statement that you cannot import Russian firearms for sale into the US?

Actually in the interest of the truth, you actually can import a Russian AK into the US.

First you have to cut it in half and import it as scrap. Once it is here it can be welded back together and still has to be modified to be 922(r) compliant.

Those are called "rewelds". You can probably google that or something.

But there aren't widespread imports of Russian firearms. They banned. :cookiemonster:

They're not banned. The Kalashnikov company is one of the entities sanctioned by the obama adminstration after the invasion of Crimea.

This story makes a lot more sense when you understand that Russian businesses would very much like
To see these sanctions lifted.

Sanctioned....banned....whatever you want to call it....

Doesn't change the fact that Russians do not make widespread sales of AK-47s in the US like that article claimed.

BREAKING NEWS: Seventy-Two Killed Resisting Gun Confiscation In Massachusetts.

National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement.

Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group’s organizers as “criminals,” issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government’s efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government’s plans.

During a tense standoff in the Lexington town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.

Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops.

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.
