Hi Guys, this is my first flush ever. Week 3 of growing. I have tried my best to keep up wit conditions as much as I could but we had some cold days in England this winter and the temperature wasn't always fully there.

It seems lie there should be more shrooms on my first harvest and I am worried as it looks like there was a contamination. Please let me know if these look ok to you guys as they look a little mutated to me.

Your substrate is blue on top because it dried out.

You need to mist it often to prevent that.

You got all your pins on the side because the micro climate was better there for growing.

What did you use for a fruiting chamber.

Good job! Pretty good for a first grow! :thumbup:

Hi brother, thank you for you reply. I did spray these with water 1-2 times a day. What is a fruit chamber?? Just by looking at the photos do you think they are safe to take? I'm only asking as there are some "fungus" bit growing on the mushroom legs

Fungus? the Blue? That's just bruising bud. or is there something I'm not seeing?

Fruiting chamber is what your substrate was in to grow, like a mono, unmodded, sgfc.

Your fruiting chamber is what you put your substrate in to give it conditons like higher humidity.

Im guessing because you dont know what that is your just fruited those in the open air and sprayed them twice a day?

Twice a day is not nearly enough for open air fruiting. I would bumo it up to 6 to 10 times a day for open air.

Your fruits were all on the sides because that was the only place the substrate had high enough humidity to pin.

Guys he used one of those little pre made ready to go grow kits, I can tell from the fc/ tupperware tray they come in.

Those are actually really decent results with that kit and your shrooms look fine to eat to me man.

Hi Guys,

Yes I have used one of the grow kit from holland, They are cheap and if do not have a lot of spear time like me they are easy to handle.
Now they are set for the second run



i spray them in the morning and in the evening, bag keep them moist.

my first flush is dry now and it came up to almost 26 grams



I shall test them this weekend.

I'd say, very well done; I've never grown from a kit, but it looks like an efficient approach where a relatively small yield is acceptable.

Yes someone suggested that to me before but the problem is there's nobody in my house between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. to spray them more often :/

Hi Guys,

This is my second flush after 3 weeks. This is a strange one. I did water them more, but somehow they have mutated or something because they just don't look right. I left the big ones to grow a bit longer as I was hoping for the little ones to grow bigger but they stopped growing after about a week after they first showed up. Then it stopped to grow for few days and then quickly went up. Even the mycelium looks weird. Only two of the look good tbh. Please see the photos and tell what you think.





















there last few pictures are after drying them in the oven on 65C after 30mins or so

How it is possible to have more than one flush?
On the first photo the tallest mushroom's veil is completely open and spores should have come out and make it impossible to have further flushes.
As I always read about harvesting before the veil is broken.
I'm confused now...

Spores won't make further flushes impossible. They just seem to be a negative factor in pinning and they seem to make contamination more likely. But definitely not impossible to have further flushes.
