I remember seeing the FL post on here. I'd like to get a hold of those genetics, though I'm not sure there would be much of a difference from the ones found up North. The ones from Florida probably came from up North. What really interests me are the wild ones found in GA.

I just checked Atlanta's weather and holy spring batman, it's 69 right now pretty much in the 60s for the next 10 days.

Bet you they'll be poppin' in the ATL soon.

in your yard? nice! fom my understanding,  Ovoids wont be fruiting here until all the leaves are on trees, and Morels are fruiting as well

Looks like they're finding ovoids in Georgia already:

Surprised no one has posted anything here yet.

I seem to remember the past few years we started to have finds in Georgia the end of February/early March. We haven’t seen a multi week warmup this year like we’ve had the past few years.

Looks like we’re gonna see warmer temps over the next 10 days with no freezing temps. Maybe we are done with below 32 for the year.

I sure hope that the freeze is over, I strongly dislike the cold.

Yeah, I've been seeing the same thing. I'm itching so bad. I might make the 2 hour trek south to Richmond to look along the James, which is where the central VA'ers seem to go--just to get an early start to the season.
