Sorry, here they are. After doing some research I think they may be Coprinus micaceus, although still not really sure.

bloodycarcass,

Thank you for the ID. So these are completely inactive right? Do they happen to be an indicator for anything active?

Hello i was just wondering if anyone could identify these and tell me if they are a weilii indicator species. They were found growing around tree debris and pinestraw. Im really hoping that they indicate that weilii will grow in the same general area.

Are you really in Alaska, if so, no way in hell those are indicators for weilli. They don't grow in Alaska .

Well these were actually found in north ga. Im just from Alaska. Theyre was a very large gathering of these. Just wondering if weilii grows in the same environment. Just wanted to post it here too just to narrow the search for an id.

Some people call them an indicator species but they (Lacrymaria) will grow almost anywhere so

They do often grow in the same area. But there are also lacrymaria growing nowhere near any Caerulescens. Id say more of a look a like to a beginner than an indicator species

Its going to be this year that i set out to find a caerulescen specimen. This year i will put in more effort and follow the habitat guidlines i learned here so many years ago.

I had a friend that thought he found some, but for me finding them myself is really the only way.

Not right now. I have found some oysters and i hear the morels are out, but i wouldnt think any cubensis would be out. Look for your typical cow feild cubensis beginning in June more than likely.

As far as other woodland actives, they do have a spring season, but you are more likely to find those in the fall. Cow field cubensis will be your best bet in a couple months.
