Looks good, depending on the spores used the mycelium can be thick and bright and other times it can be thin and faint. It's fine it will colonize soon.

Cheers man, thanks! Ill get some agar or lc happening and take the guess work out of shit. I was not as knowledgeable as I am now and that seems to be the better and faster way to do shit.

I've only tried the cheapest one I found.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-New-3in1-Fish-Eye-Wide-Angle-Macro-Lens-Clip-On-Camera-Lens-Kit-For-Phones-/272412843189?hash=item3f6d121cb5
I think they make ones with different ways to attach them to your phone or tablet camera. I tried the Fish-Eye and Wide-Angle lenses but the only one I use is the Macro one.
Just using a small magnifying glass works about as well but the clip on one makes it easier.

Did you use a pint jar for the rye or something? How much rye is in the jar?

Yea I did only use pints, ill use it to spawn quarts. I followed this tek https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20048765/fpart/1/vc/1 They are 2/3 full.

What do you mean spawn quarts? Like a G2G transfer?

Try inoculating a quart jar by itself just in case that g2g goes sour. Make sure you're sterile when performing it. But you got the idea. Grab a shoebox and use a pint on it while you are transferring and waiting on those quart jars to colonize.

Yea cheers. Thats a good idea. I am out of spores as it sits right now, shoulda done some agar work but what can ya do? Hopefully I can get a good clean print and ill do some agar samples and whatnot and get some good things happening over here.

How many rye pints to you have going on? If you have more than 1, take a pint and spawn it in a shoebox so you can obtain some prints soon, then take the extra pint and do a g2g on some quart jars or even a bag. A colonized pint can probably make 5-10 quart jars.
You can always (as long as you're being sterile) crumble the colonized brf cakes you have into a freezer bag and mix with double or triple the amount of uncolonized cakes. Basically like a G2G transfer, you can double your brf cakes easily by doing this and it will colonize within a week. Once colonized, spawn to a 1:1 mix of coir, verm, gypsum. Now you got a brf monotub which colonizes and fruits fast.

Do G2A, when you go to spawn your shoebox, first open it in a SAB and place a grain on each agar dish you prepare.

Yea that kind of my plan, ws to spawn one to a shoebox and g2g with the other. I also was going to crumble 2 of of my brf cakes and fruit 2 as cakes just to be on the safe side.

Yea, I just read last night that you can place a colonized rye kernel on an agar dish. Thanks for the advice
