Hey guys, I'm new to the mushroom hunting community but have grown a few times. I am in the green industry and noticed some mushrooms popping up today in the Atlanta area. I live in the North GA area and have a lot of horse farms in the area. Are horse areas a good place to start looking?

I also have pine areas to check, as well as lawn communities where fairie ring can pop up.

Just not sure where to start exactly, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

https://www.shroomery.org/8461/Which-mushrooms-grow-wild-in-my-area there you’ll find list of active species by state decide which sp you’d like to find and check out its habits and habitats, you will be able to find pan cinctulus in the horse paddocks and lawns also I highly recommend doing due diligence to learn about any poisonous/deadly look alike
