Drill holes below the perlite layer, the reason they are there is to allow air to flow into the damp perlite and move moisture to the surface to evaporate, creating a humid climate, holes on the bottom alone will not be as effectivd. Yes your cakes will develop more pins as long as surface conditions are maintained. You should also bottom water them, the cakes love it and will reward you for it.
It is perfectly fine to put new cakes in with some that are already fruiting, a sgfc works best if it is filled, it was designed to get crammed with cakes.
You might have a hard time getting that bag of brf to colonize. Brf compacts easily, that's why we use 2x as much verm as brf. You'd be better off crumbling cakes into a tray and casing with verm that is hydrated to field capacity. Don't case with dry verm, it will suck the moisture out, we get away with it with cakes because of the dunk.
Either way, it sounds like you know what you're doing for the most part. Give us some pics when you can and good luck!

I've got a Penis Envy Uncut culture pinning on a brf puck. It's got a red/orange cap as a pin kinda like PE or a normal cube.
Has anyone ever seen PEU take on the PF classic side of the hybrid? Or is this most likely a mislabel?

Is 5 quarts of spawn enough for a whole brick of coir an 2 quarts of verm or should I use a 1:1 ratio?

The PE I have also look more like a classic cube than the typical penis phenotype. I too think it was a mislabeled syringe so I bought another one. I haven't grown it out yet but I'm hoping for the dicks this time around

Are you sure you weren't expecting APEU?

My mistake. I thought PEU was ape x PF classic. Must be PE x APF classic.
Or I'm mistaken all togather and it's PE x PF and I'm just a dumbass.
Thanks guys

Ape and peu come from the same lineage. Apeu is from hamloaf its not a legit cross or anything its just an ape that has mottled brown caps

I've seen a ton of pics of what's labeled as PEU being long albino or very light colored and blueish dicks. Not saying I know what's up, but I seen a lot of it.

I was under the impression PEU was just a variety somewhere along the lines of stabilizing ape.

All I know is months ago debating buying a syringe of ape from sw I think I remember seeing APEU next to it if You Google APEU there's a couple different phenos shown and I think that's the difference. Ape curls up and APEU doesn't I think

It wasn't even that really. It's simply APE with some of one of its parent's (Penis Envy) showing dominate genetics.
