How can you live with yourself having helped bring a man, who is inspired by dictators and despots, to power?

They were debating that he would go soft on drugs/what he is is irrelevant to them.
Ridiculous as it is i bet they would still argue the same.
There were multiple threads where progressives were asking the conserves to reconcile their vote alongside their membership to the shroomery.

If one were to tell Trump that he could pass such a law, but only if he simultaneously makes the penalty the same for corruption and financial crimes, I see more Americans getting behind it.
Seriously, though, this should give Trump's supporters reason to question his sanity: most Americans are in favor of softer punishments for certain drugs; he wants the death penalty for dealers. Heil Trumpler!

He's talking specifically in reference to the opioid epidemic.
Quote:
In 2016, over 64,000 Americans died from overdoses, 21 percent more than the almost 53,000 in 2015.[8][9][6] By comparison, the figure was 16,000 in 2010, and 4,000 in 1999.[10][11] While death rates varied by state,[12] public health experts estimate that nationwide over 500,000 people could die from the epidemic over the next 10 years.[13] In Canada, half of the overdoses were accidental, while a third was intentional. The remainder were unknown.[14] Many of the deaths are from an extremely potent opioid, fentanyl, which is trafficked from Mexico.[15] The epidemic cost the United States an estimated $504 billion in 2015.[16]
I don't generally support the death penalty, but if I did then you bet the people profiting from this would be on my list.

I see the usual fake news from msn, ho hum. And the source for this inside story is... nobody in particular just another anon "person" making allegations. I've seen stories like that with no credible backing ever since trump was a candidate.
If bringing over kilos of h or fent was a capital crime it could make a difference. But we don't know what he actually said. Everyone screams you have to do something but if he does anything then he's a dictator. Sounds fair

I don't support the death penalty to begin with, but I do believe drug kingpins should rot in jail. I would happily pay the taxes to keep kingpins behind bars for life.
Fuck pills and dope. I have seen that shit kill too many people.
Dealers need to face extremely harsh consequences.
Except marijuana dealers!

Its funny how the far left will believe an anon rumor if it goes against trump or conservatives but solid evidence against hillary, obama, or any dem is instantly discounted and denied or ignored.
The far left will support war hawks like hillary in spite of the fact they claim to be against war. They support the policies of the elite which keep them down all the while claiming they hate the super rich

By people profiting off this epidemic, I assume you are referring to large pharmaceuticals responsible for its existence in the first place: Purdue Pharma, being one such example.

You’re probably being sarcastic. I hope so, because there’s no way these people are re-evaluating their political stance. The more likely scenario is that they’re calculating the mental gymnastics they have to do to keep supporting Trump. Stonehenge has chosen to hop on the fake news parallel bars, despite the verifiable fact that Trump admires and supports Duterte. Last Spring, Trump praised Duterte’s “unbelievable job on the drug problem”, and I don’t see how it’s far-fetched to think that Trump considers this a good solution. But until they hear it from his mouth, they’ll deny it’s happening; some will deny it even then. There’s no re-evaluation with these people. Too late to turn back now, too hard to say they were taken by another conman.

Nah.
