Azure?
    #25017356 - 02/23/18 10:34 PM (6 years, 1 month ago)

So i got my hands on some azure substrate a good bit ago and spawned it with wood chips and cardboard. This was placed in many flower pots along with the ovoid sub and separated. Im not familiar with psilocybe azurescens at all. Some of the pots started to fruit outside a few days ago. This one pot that isn't labeled is fruiting something different than ovoids and im hoping its the  azurescens. They have a faint psilocybe smell but not strong, almost sweet. Definitely not ovoid stank.Hoping i can get an id and some info from those who have experience with them. There's a possibility that these are ovoids but these are different imo. Cap is light tan with blue bruising. Stem is white, thick and fibrous with blue bruising. Print is purple brown. Thanks in advance:wink:

Suspected azure,

Ovoids,

Thanks for the input guys:thumbup:I'll keep an eye on the veil remnants on upcoming fruits. Id say all pots have been colonizing for 6-7 months with a thick layer of mycelium now carpeting the top layers.Do azures tend to fruit in the spring or are they a fall fruiter? I guess the ovoids can count as my first finds of the year hopefully the azures aren't too far behind.

Those are ovoid brotha. Not wi azies :frown: but fuckinA those are banging ovoids brotha :bigyesnod: fuck those are neat. The veil and pale colors are give away. Wait till you see, azies grow in the coldest temps. When nature hits golden and frozen at night. Ovoids have me just amazed they are versatile and seem to fruit when substrate is spent near regardless to age or temps. Ovoids are more versatile and azures will hold a niche in cold fall. You'll see. They are worth any wait in time.
