No, serbica comes from around Poland if I am not mistaken.

I totally read "Portland":lmafo: thought you were saying that it grows in USA lol

Yeah, Poland makes sense. And I know that the Balkan countries have a mushroom called "crazy mushroom" roughly translated. Could be this one they are talking about.

How potent are these compared to cubes? Wiki says they are closely related to Psilocybe Cyanescence, wonder if the potency is closely retaled as well  :derfase:

They supposed to be rather strong, I REALLY hope I can get this shoebox to fruit.

@ Shrooms4life, wasn't talking about cubes in Serbia, was talking about Psilocybe serbica being there.

"Psilocybin levels in this species were found to vary between 0.11% up to 1.34% by dry weight.[6] The content of baeocystin and psilocybin was highest in the caps of the mushrooms." wiki

Try to clone one of those 1.34% specimens lol

Wiki says they are closely related to Ps.Cyan and that they grow on decaying wood, so how can you grow them on CVG?

what's so difficult about wbs for you guys? I'm finding it to be incredibly fast and easy. even easier than oats, which is saying something.

It's not "difficult" in terms of my success, it's just a fucking bitch to prep and deal with. My WBS has so much corn and seeds in it that I have to strain it through a big colander to remove them, otherwise it's a wet mushy mess. And millet gets fucking EVERYWHERE when I'm trying to dry it off. Oats are uniform, don't need to be separated from other shit, and are easy to dry.

To each their own, of course. I love it for G2G transfers, for sure, just prefer oats overall.

You have been kicking ass lately

Both are lignin and that's what they eat. I colonized oats, and spawned to CVG. Fuck its working, so I am rolling with it until it shows mold or something. Maybe, just maybe I will get lucky and get enough fruits for a good trip.

I make sure to back off the hydration, some, when I know I will be using a liquid inoculant. This helps with the absorption of water from the inoculant. I will admit I have not used WBS yet, but looking at the grains, I feel they are over hydrated.

You put 30ml into a quart? Honestly, that seems excessive, but I haven't done LC in years.
I used to do around 5

I don't know how big that bag is but that looks way wetter than 9ml of LC.

Yup this is what my quart looks like.

Little on the dry side

Also I pour so it's anywhere between 10 to 60ish

I need to clean that jar

The ATL/PE6 coir jar is colonizing, I wonder how long it will go? Has anyone else seen something like this? Will the different mycelium colonize all the coir? Or will it randomly divide? I guess we’ll see it’d be awesome if it colonized fully and fruited mexicana/cubensis hybrids in the most noob way ever. However I’m 99.999999% that’s not he case. What I’m hoping is it will sprout different fruit bodies in the same jar! That seems viable, yet far fetched.

In other news 3 of the 6 grain clones have contracted what appears to be 2 asperigillus and one cobweb. However this is to be expected considering agar is the cleaning process anyways, the shroom tissue has completely fuzzed up and I could than take a portion of that and transfer to another grain jar. But besides that the other 3 are taking off, no doubt they will be completely colonized without bacteria. So those won’t even be cleaned . and if I clean the dirty jars I don’t even need agar just more grain! This is proof to me that agar is literally unnecessary, not for cloning, not for isolation, or achieving a clean culture. I just feel like most people are too jaded to admit it. And btw I’ve used agar, it’s fine but it’s a hassle to get it.

And you know what? I’m canceling my order of agar right now because of its unnecessary. Any questions feel free to ask.

Hey, this is my first attempt at agar and I think everything is looking great. What sector should I transfer from?
