:wooawesome:

I have had no issues with warping. I add water until they juuuuuust want to float, which is well above the presto minimum fill line (if I recall) to give me insurance it doesn't run dry. Also I do Bodh's trick of adding weight to the 15 psi weight to prevent extra steam escaping. Manually adjusting flame to keep it at 15 psi.

As I mentioned, this PC is new to me but I've done it 5 or 6 times with no issues. 9 bottles a shot is sure nice!

I also make sure to have the lids looser. I tuck the tinfoil under the edge of the bottle. Then when they come out of the pc I tighten them with the foil still on.

I fit 8 in my 23qt presto. They stick up past the top of the pot but sit low enough for the lid to still close.

9?? How? I had posted this a few months back or so, but ended up doing just 7.

No sign of life. I used a year old LI syringe stored at room temperature. So my hopes were pretty low.

Notice in the PC photo, I put in 4 bottles and the 5th slides in the empty space resting on their lids. That one has to be under the steam lock hardware.

Then 4 more go on top of the original 4. Now, it should be all heavy enough to add water without the 1st row floating.

Done it this way 5 or 6 times (the 23 presto is new for me)

* with the slight dome to the lid the top row fits even though it sticks up a hair.

Not sure how I missed that.

Do your bottles touch sides? I was always hesitant to let them do that, but guess it's no Issue.

Shit, that's nice. I'll have to try that. I get so sick of all the foil.

Thanks for that tidbit Muda.

I think 5 on the bottom is gonna make them warp too much and possibly fuck the seal. I remember having to cram them in and then have deformed square shaped bottles after pcing. could have been my shitty placement.

I think what muda said is the best 4 on the bottom and for on the top of those all upright.

with very little to no rings under trivet i'm guessing.

I only elevate my trivet when I'm running pasty plates. There's really no need when running bottles.

Coming right along. The other 4 are a slight bit behind and I lost one to the green due to what I'm sure was an SFD failure. I should've double checked all were firmly glued since I made them years ago and they're tougher to keep on these lids than metal.

Always my favorite part to see them colonizing well.

Then I know I didn't totally eff things up.

I've got healthy looking growth in 5 of my 8 bottles. I thought for sure the culture was dead but it's just slow. The fact that my grow room is really cold right now might have something to do with that. It's nothing worth taking a picture of but I'm super pumped to see my first growth in 13 months.

Growth is crazy slow but I'm becoming cautiously optimistic that these 8 WIKI bottles might actually finish up and bear fruit.

I've germination on one of my PE spore plates as well. A couple transfers and I'll start a new set of bottles with some some fresh genetics.
