Habitat: Small colony found on cow dung in pasture in south lousiana.
Gills: White/Grey mostly unattached
Stem: Stems only a few mm thick, about 5 cm long on bigger ones
Cap: About a cm wide on most, post spore drop still concave. Generally spherical. Solid brown/bronze
Spore print color: Black
Bruising: Brown
Other information: The ones on the left are the ones I refer. I found them near the cubes I regularly pick, which are on the right. They are much darker and I can't see any blue forming, just black. They were different enough to be cause for alarm. But are they edible? Is it differing strains, or mutants, or another species?

Possibly Deconica sp., but gill shots would help.

Inocybe praetervisa?
At first glance I thought Bolbitius tortellini but Inocybe praetervisa seems like a better fit...
I can't say...
I know I have seen those before, I just can't for the life of me remember the species...
(Wait for trusted identifier)

Wait, on cow dung?
You are SURE those were coprophilic, and not growing from the grass?

Ok, that changes everything, I can't believe I missed that detail initially...
Bolbitius titubans and Deconica coprophila are your most common coprophilic fungi with gray fading to cinnamon gills...
But I can't say.
Its been way too long since I have identified wild fungi, I am incredibly rusty...wait for a trusted identifier.
