More funny news:
Jeff Sessions hits back at Donald Trump after president labels him a 'disgrace' over FBI allegations
Quote:
Issuing a rare response to criticism from Donald Trump, Attorney General Jeff Sessions has defended his decision to launch an internal probe of alleged surveillance abuses by the FBI.
https://www.axios.com/scoop-besieged-sessions-dines-with-rosenstein-in-show-of-solidarity-1519865511-4afe726b-6642-4ca5-8ebf-e9f0600df79b.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=twsocialshare&utm_campaign=organic
Quote:
The symbolism was unmistakable: the three top ranking officials in the Justice Department appearing together in a show of solidarity on the same day Trump is publicly and privately raging about Sessions.
Quote:
The concept: Fire Sessions, then what next? Are you going to fire Rosenstein too? And then what after that?
Sources close to the situation say today feels different than Trump's usual rages. Sessions' allies are deeply concerned and Trump is totally fed up with his AG.
Trump has been taunting and publicly humiliating Sessions for months now, but his tweet this morning was as rough as any he's sent:
"Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!" A source close to Sessions, who has spoken with him, says that this meeting was "in no way planned as pushback or an act of solidarity against the president." The source said Solicitor General Noel Francisco requested the meeting some time ago to talk about carrying out various aspects of the department's and administration's agenda.

You're going to have to narrow it down a bit, you just described like 90% of the news about Trump this past year

What if he ran as a joke or PR stunt, then someone decided he should win so they could pillage for awhile and clean house, so they made it happen
Trump said he would "drain the swamp", I bet he wasn't counting on being the human draino that actually did it...

What does that prove?
He also started taking donations for his 2020 campaign right after being elected All it really proves is he likes money, he's got to pay off his mistresses somehow

none of the 38 or whatever % that still support trump will ever flip. they're the type that votes straight R on any ticket with no regard to policy or any other metric. they're entrenched and unreachable.

I think they will "flip" eventually in so much as as time goes on and it is behind us they will more or less ignore the past as if it never happened, change their stance, and then act like we've been on the same side all along. I'd be okay with that when the time comes. Also keep in mind that 38% is actually voters, not eligible voters, iirc it's only about 20% of eligible voters which is why we need to all get out there and vote.

You don't think even a small % has flipped or considered it after Trump's recent gun control comments?
Keep in mind he had 40-50% support not too long ago. Seems like 30% or so are die hard fanatics quite possibly, but I wonder how many will still feel like voting for him come 2020 if they even get a chance.

i live in a very, very red area and i'm basing my assessment on people i see, hear, and occasionally talk to; they're entirely unreachable ime.
they are inbred hostileuniverse clones. seriously. citing of just a few of their attributes, they're illogical, devoid of empathy, live in fact-less bubbles, fixated on meaningless whataboutisms, intolerant of any religion except various xtian sects, uneducated (at least the real HU was a little educated), and ready at the drop of a hat to call someone unamerican while telling them to leave the country for engaging in things that are as american as apple pie such as civil disobedience and free speech.
