Oh fair play mate nice and cheap already then was just a heads up as I’ve seen a few people pay a few quid for wbs.
Who has ordered one of these presto 23quart coolers from target and how long did it take?
My tracking thing doesn’t work so just curious want to hold out till she comes to do a big session

I get most of my grain free. But wheat is same 6 for 20kg. The presto should take about a week unless you went cheaper postage then about 2 to 4 weeks.

Oh and organic don't have chemicals added at any stage. I go round dressing seed for farmers. Most chemical added is to stop fungus at the germ stage or other ones like rust. If ergot grows ok there then our shrooms will be fine. Plus my seed ain't organic apart from the doves rye I got.

Prepped sone wheat earlier none of this soaking malarkey.
Heat water just before boil add grain turn heat off and cover for at least an hour, wheat is perfect nice and fat, hardly any split.
Just pulled outta pc 2 hours still very good.

I sometimes prep grain the same way i do for fishing. Cover in boiling water and sit till soft. Or simmer till center is nearly clear.

Nice! I find them much better for cleaning up dirty cultures because of the larger surface area, I tend to use the 4 and 2 oz for LI.

What do you think of these filters are they the correct spec ?

Yes buddy mentioned a few times I have a few on the go atm.

Obviously take long to fully colonise and at risk of stalling due to size.

Make sure you factor in double the time sterilisation as most of the pf teks on here are for half pint where the aldi jars are full pint...

Notes taken ..thought that might be the case... im using 250ml pate jars at the min and the work well got 20 for about £16... is it worth the yield difference using over half a pint anyone?

I've not had a flush Yet but I would stick to the 250ml if I had a choice due to time/contam risk with a bigger jar....

I jumped straight to grains and bought some wbs (be careful u.s wbs is different to u.k our wbs is wheat based imo harder to get content right and slower at colonising.

I have lost a few jars due to either being to dry or too wet...

Bought some indoor caged bird seed yesterday at jollyes 0.15p per 100g
Packed full of millet, no corn and sun flower seed which is a brucey bonus. Much easier to prep also.

If you have an aldi near you they do pickled onions in quart jars and beetroot in large jars for under a pound.
I have loads of aldi bolognose jars too (cheap less than 40p)
Punch 2 holes one with some pound shop silicone and other a breathing filter I robbed from work
