Perhaps, but you can work in any number of large, non-profit organizations, and their culture/operations are similar, if not identical to for profit corporations; at least in my experience.

Daycare is nuts, seems like a lot of the time one parent's earnings go pretty much entirely to daycare. Which seems pretty pointless, except that a lot of employers are tyrants about gaps in resumes. You would think that there would be some kind of "economies of scale" thing going on where they could watch many kids for cheaper per kid, but it doesn't seem to work out that way.

LOL I worked for a non profit environmental group thinking I was gonna like make a difference and help the environment n shit n all we did was swindle old confused ppl out of money with alot of fast talk and then pay off legislators with what little money we didn't keep. I mean I could give u the spiel on why lobbying is super important n junk but most the projects we worked on 99/100 times prob either had not a shot in hell of passing or lit made shit worse because of retardedness.

It's really not complex at all. It only seems that way because so many people fall for it.

I was talking with my MILF last night, who is the director of a childcare centre, and, lo and behold, the whole operation is run from the top down with profit in mind - not the wellbeing of the children.

Profit is king, people only exist to serve it.

sad but true, both.

If only America was more like Sweden

Theres a reason why the US is one of the richest countries: capitalism and corporations.

yep, and a "fuck 'em all, I'll get mine no matter the cost because that is the american dream" attitude etc...the dangling carrot never gets eaten. Well fuck all that shit. I have all I need and excess is excess. I'm content and happy where I am in life right now, and I have the best mate I have ever had in my life as well. All is well until the next valley, lol. I'm at a peak for now. I was in corporate restaurant work mainly and it really is not different from an office corporate job, especially once one is in management.

what it comes down to is the children. corporations aren't after our money, politicians aren't after criminals or terrorists n stuff, they are criminals and terrorists, and they're after our children. that is why they work the parents to death, barely give them anytime with their children, cuz lets face it, we can't raise our children because we don't know how, we don't how to put them to work, we don't know what to teach them. we are null and we need politicians and stuff to raise our children, to teach them about dead presidents, to worship man and not God.

It was working for a big corporation 30 some years ago that prompted my friend and I to try to start a business that was not like them. We worked hard and did things the right way (above board) and I now realize how much effort and funds go into keeping the fucking government happy. The IRS is nothing but a shake down organization that doesn't give a shit about business. They just want their share, and if you forget to file some paperwork on time....even 1 day late, even if you don't owe any money, you are subject to their ridiculous monetary penalties.

I just got a $10,000.00 penalty because my partner didn't file corporate taxes in 2011 probably because he was sick or maybe he thought our accountant filed them electronically. Anyway, we didn't owe any money, but this is the fine I'm dealing with right now....it's fucking ridiculous.

Getting away from my rant, the big corps have accountants that handle this stuff and learn all the loopholes that keep them from having to pay taxes...look at trump, a fucking billionaire that didn't pay any fed taxes for 15 yrs. The whole "stockholder" scenario doesn't fare well for the lowly employee that puts the cogs into the boxes....it just enriches the top few on the ladder. Pensions and profit sharing seem to be a thing of the past.

No. No, i will not be a sheep and sit around all day doing what they tell me.

I usually work for small, forestry contractors, usually a family man and his wife working in a small group.

At the moment, i work at a ski resort in my Hometown and last summer i planted trees and picked Morel in British Columbia. I may fight forest fires in the future, if i can get the certification for it.

Usually i work for 2 or 3 months in the summer, every summer, and I make at least 15 000$ Cad. Then, I stop working until the next season.

I find that 15 000$ Cad is enough to live off of for a whole year, and that it is enough to travel to Peru, which is a place I like to go to and where rent is 50% cheaper and so is pretty much everything else.

I think it's good to mention that i'm homeless, because its the only way to live this lifestyle. This is very close to living like our ancient forager ancestors: I don't got a house, car, wife, kids, or property and i only have to work 3 months out of each year.

Finally, the corporate fuck will rot in the pit from whence it came like the Plague or it will be decimated by the atom. Either way, i won't give in to it, and i'd rather work at a glory hole for elves.
When will everyone open their eyes and see the wrong in the world? One woman one child is the best we got at establishing a utopia on earth. First thing in the utopia: ORgies every fry-day:DDDDDD

Yeah man, that'd be a massive civil war. There aren't many stoners working for the corporation, and stoners are the only people that would NOT go to war. So that leaves everyone else.
The country's run by greed and materialism and illusions. There is soooo little that is real in our societies man... like really real like sex, astonishment, fun, music, knowledge etc.
Anyways, i don't know where were going as a society, but it CANNOT be good. How can it be? An ever growing population, enough atom weapons to blow off existence from the face of the earth and television. WTF is wrong with television? why are they not discussing existence? has the human race forgot that we still don't even know WHY we exist? jesus its like we take ourselves seriously of all things, when we don't even know what it means to be a human.

I think humans are plagued with arrogance, and its gonna bite them in the ass when the atom drops.

Anways, whats your thought on corporate america man? think youre living the dream?

Im not living any dream, im in the works to do so after i lay the corner stone of success.  I think corporate America  needs to go, project mayhem need implementation now. Everything has to return to zero and be rebuilt.
The nonstoners just need some misguided grees motivation to get the ball rolling

Well shit. :frown: imagine if everyone decided to stop showing up one day, and smoke pot in their backyards: it would collapse. and...Like a system, it would try to correct itself you know. and by that i mean it would enforce its ideas.

but dude heres the pitch: imagine every one worker in america quits their job EXEPT for holywood and porno industry workers.
or everyone quits their job and starts farming. Major LOL. i bet they would send the army tanks against your mobile home to surround the "parameters". Then the soldiers would sneak up to your window and say:
"Ahem! ....uhh (reading the paper in his hands) ... the office has been refurbished. Comeeee back and work with us???"
