Monotube stalling

Hello friends
So its been about 7 - 10 days after ive induced fruiting mode... I know i should wait more before making any sense to it but im just checking if my conditions are right.
So at the start ive had only 3 spawn jars but ive read that it will be enough just longer time to colonize
The room is small and i sleep in it, i introduce fresh air through small window two times a day, i keep fan near the mono all day, the temperature is around 22 degrees, 72 fahrenheit, moisture inside is around 80 - 85%, for the light source i have 6500 kelvin and the mono gets around 15 hours of light, both natural light from small window and the bulb. I cant have it 12/ 12 because of my sleeping ritual
I dont opet, i dont mist... How does it look to you?

Moisture on the surface is what matters. If this was my tub, I would continue to mist as needed per the substrate conditions and I'd probably loosen the polyfil a bit...might not be getting enough FAE. The more fresh air the better IMO.

Just remain patient and lose the fan. What "window" are you talking about? The polyfil holes should provide enough fae if they're not too tight.

Your tub looks pretty dry already to me, you might need to pick up the mist bottle.

I have small window in my room and i open it to bring fresh air inside the room... due to the fact im also sleeping in it...
My poly is VERY loose at the top and VERY dense in the bottom holes... should i make them a bit looser?
And why so u say get rid of the fan? everyone says to have fan in the room all the time for FAE. I will introduce misting!
Im also heating the room with infrared heater

How is your surface moisture??? Is it covered in a fine layer of water beads?? If it isn't and it was mine I would probably open it and give it a light misting with distilled water..... Misting it and opening it will help to deliver fresh air and oxygen directly to the surface.... Also after misting leave your lid on but turn it sideways somewhat so that air can flow into the tub through the top corners.... I would let it air out for an hour or two after misting depending on how the surface would look.
Misting lightly and then allowing extra FAE will help create an environment of constant evaporation which will help stimulate pin production on the surface........ That's probably what I would do if it were mine anyway....

Why not? I use distilled water just so that I know there aren't as many potential germs in it.
I see alot of people recommending plain tap..... What should be used?? I have also used bottled spring water because my tap water is chlorinated so there's no way I am spraying it on my tubs!

Why would you worry about germs in a non sterile process?

Yeah I'm sure there are more nasties floating around in the air in our houses then in tap water, shit i was part of the generation that grew up playing outside and drinking out of garden hoses

It really all depends on your sub as far as misting...my thoughts on the polyfil were based on the picture...just looked really compressed in the front. As long as the room is staying around 70 F no heating is required. Just keep a nice, small beading of water droplets on the myc as far as misting goes and if you're needing to use a fan to force air in then you're probably packing the holes too tight....just

Why add cost when tap is perfectly fine.

My tap water bruises my subs..... It is treated with chlorine at the water plant as most taps are. Why would you want that on your sub? I use distilled or drinking water because it is a dollar a gallon and I can afford it as poor as I am.
It is just an easy step in the process that makes ME feel a little better. Also I have gotten subs in the past to flush seven and eight times with NO MOLDS before they were spent. Using distilled water to mist with could be partly to thank as it helps potentially minimize the amount of overall contaminates that the colonized substrate is exposed to. Just my thoughts on it..
I myself also played outside, drank out of garden hoses, swam in rivers, drank crick water, cooked my own crawdads, all that good stuff... But I am not a colonized mushroom substrate fending off unwanted competition like bacteria and molds.
I like to give my subs all the help they can get....

When i can smell the chlorine in my water, it does bruise my mycellium... although i jist keep using it cuz thats probly not why it bruised... diluted bleach doesnt bruise it. If literally dunked things in bleach water and it didnt bruise at all and actually came back with vigerous growth

If you're worried about the quality of your tap water you can always use a PUR or Brita faucet filter

Right.... But then you do have the up front cost of the filter mechanism. Although it would pay for itself within a year I am sure.

For arguments' sake I don't drink distilled water all the time (I drink tap and sometimes bottled spring) and a mushroom sub gets it's 'nutes primarily from the substrate itself and not the water so that seems irrelevant. So as a TC cronicr- san what kind of water do you use and what would you recommend then as a misting water?? Distilled, tap, filtered tap, or bottled spring or drinking water?? Lol...

Buy the big jugs of spring water. it would be better than distilled water. Or one of those Brita filters that you can attach to your faucet. If your water is simply high in sulfur mixing with the chlorine in your water can cause it to become be yellowish. I think your tap water might be fine to use regardless.

"Distilled" water is acceptable for infants.... Distilled is recommended because it is steam distilled and clean.

Nope. Just mist whenever it needs it, and be careful not to over saturate your sub and you'll be good to go

If the yellow is the mycellium turning a yellowish cream color, thats from drying. But it usually happens from an uneven substrate. The raised parts dry faster than the low parts

If its a yellow liquid, its metabolites, its fighting some bacteria. You'll still get fruits.

Holy cow. Is that sulfur? WTF is that yellow stuff? Yikes.
Anyway, I recently got a Big Berkey water filter system. It's gravity fed, but it's cheap if you just use the carbon filters. Main issue is, takes a while to feed through.

A heavy misting after each flush is usually enough. Generally speaking there is enough water content in sub to last 2 flushes.
Dunking monos can be a pain. Given that 90% ish of mushrooms are water, you could weigh your wet weight after harvest then add 90% of that in water back to the substrate. Pour it down the sides and it should absorb it all no problems.

The stale smell could just be the stale air and water. Give it more air if u feel it needs it. More air wont hurt anything.

Rotate the lid 90 degrees so it can get more air...I see pins so shits gettin' real. Also, that small shroom is fine to pick...waste not want not.
Hygrometers aren't gonna help much either...its the surface humidity that matters not the air. I've read so many posts where people use the hygrometers and still end up with dry myc...use ur eyes bruh!

I'm just telling ya what I would try...that or loosen up the polyfil Looks like it needs more air but I'll be honest...it's kinda hard for me to tell from the pictures...sorry. It really just depends on the surface of the substrate.

You wouldn't believe the difference in a slightly cracked lid, a lid at 90°, and a topless tub. Make 3 monotubs of the same culture and have your poly stuffed tight, med, and lose and you'll see one is not even close to the other. What works best for you will differ from others though since we all live in different climates. Give what tomato said a try, can't hurt. Just make sure to maintain surface conditions. If you're not 100% sure what that is search it and there's plenty of helpful info.

I think i will try with micropore tape... i mean that sound perfect and so easier than poly... I know trusted cultivator suggested it and using it. Two layer at bottom, one at top.

Micropore tape you’re really not going to get the air flow you want...polyfil is used time after time with success.

My biggest problem right now is i think the winter. I must heat the room and therefore it dries the air so the conditions are not perfect... its like -15 outside right now so there is no alternative for heating.
Ive came across heating pads... what are they? You just put it under mono and it heats substrate?

Heating pads are a HUGE NO NO!! If the air is drying out due to a room heater you'll just need to mist more to make up the difference.

Clusters are good. More will come, those are just the first up.
Oh and caps opening early and white fuzz on the base is from lack of fae. Give it just a little more air

Can we relate lack of fae and smaller shrooms with potency loss?

No connection to potency...genetics does

If they stopped growing you can pick them.
I usually dunk my sub for about 2 hours and put it back into fruiting...second flush happens when the myc is ready, but rehydrating helps speed it up.

Ok guys so i got some yield, for second flush i dunked whole tub in water for 3 hours and after 3 days i was already picking fruits!
here are pictures and i want brief explanation please, so my second mono would be better.
Bad symptoms: Sub is getting yellowish, and blueish around, fruits were medium size at best, and not whole coverage... i think due to lack of spawn mixed into coir and verm.
I have read to stuff down poly tightly and upper loosely but the air dont seem fresh and a bit stale. What do u think guys?
Im also using 6500k bulb 12 12
