Is beauty a thing. Is it the quality of a thing. Is this quality projected or inherent. Is beauty nothing.

harmonious progressions of various kinds elicit the perception of the quality of beauty; in some ways it might be mathematical.

Beauty relies on the element of surprise.

Well beauty is abstracted by the perceptions of subjective indication..

But the truthfulness of beauty relies on what most people understand as balance.. and proportion

So ugliness is defined as something not a proper proportion..

In that sense it is based on the math of symmetry!

Idealism in a nut shell.. that is all things should fit in place.. if not than work the miracle to put them there!

So with perceptions we get a partial amount of beauty.. but with knowledge we get complete beauty!

Probably not what you'll want to read, but for Plotinus, Beauty is "a thing," one of the Platonic Forms, and Eternal Idea which belongs to Nous, the first hyposthesis (emanation) from the Transcendental ONE. There is physical Beauty, but also Intellectual Beauty.

http://www.phx-ult-lodge.org/The_beautiful.htm

In Kabbalism, Beauty is Tiphereth, the Lesser Countenance [of God], the Sun, Ruach [Spirit]. It too is "a thing," and an important one at that.

Written facts and discourses and tested theories (recorded knowledge) are a kind of knowledge that is a flat base, at least it seems flat for the most part.

All other forms of knowledge are personal experience including the experience of recorded knowledge.

Perceptions are links to [the kind of knowledge that is] personal experience.

Hmm, there is a type of absolute.. a type of knowledge beyond the person..

But because you are your totality then all knowledge necesarily is about or relates to you in someway..

I think the real knowledge is both subjective(The whole person).. and objective..(the notion of absolute existence beyond your own person)

I was refering only to objective knowledge being base.. but since you posted I think there IS base personal experience..

I wonder what the difference of awareness is compared to experience..? Any notions?

this relates to you favoring a baseline of eternal truths

maybe you are referring to science as the baseline of eternal truths,
but even science shows its cracks through with more science grows with new truths, sometimes changing the old axioms and formulae so that projection and design using science can be sensitive and accurate.

but if it is not in the person's experience, is it actually knowledge, or is it more of a library and a mysterious industry in a world of nature. The person has to explore it to understand it and use its language. Then it is in memory, and is part of that person's knowledge.

topics all over the map but maybe some crossover. - awareness is about what you are experiencing now, which is like consciousness.
retained impressions of awareness are saved as memory.
Awareness/experience is enhanced by associated memories as well as senses.

Bare Awareness happens when enhancements from memory are minimal in a wakeful person.

Science attempts to explore the truth.. i agree we still have a ways to go.. especially in the realm of psychology and spirituality.. virtually any topic that can be studied is science..

Well in the case of beauty.. your awareness of beauty is the same as your experience of it..
