yeah I dont like the direction the new owners are taking ufc, lets get back to where rankings matter again and stop these so called money fights.. I mean Im all for a big fight BUT Id rather have a stacked card than 1 big mega fight with a good co main. are they really money fights when they force a bunch of them month after month?
still need ex fighters to judge and ref to fix the issues with that.. and now big john is an announcer so one less good ref.

Another issue... why are there only three judges? Why not have, like, nine or ten? It would also reduce shitty decisions especially if, as you said, actual fighters were doing the judging.
MMA still has so much stupid shit borrowed from boxing's stale, conservative traditions.

I watched the interview video of her trashing Dana White. Not good if your own mom is shitting on you publicly. She seems to have an appetite for feuds and drama. Like mother, like son.

Yoel Romero issed weight, lol.
Also if the card tonight was a UFC Fight Night instead of a PPV, the following would not cross my mind: "man, this UFC Fight Night card is STACKED!"
Hope it's good, tho.

The Leech is fighting on the main card. It would be nice to see a Chinese fighter gain traction in the UFC; Asia seems way underrepresented in UFC.
Other than that, most of the fights are relatively unheralded Australians and New Zealanders vs. horribly jet lagged people.

I had not picked favorite. I thought Rockhold might be able drag him into the later rounds and outstrike, even TKO him. Romero lost the later rounds against Whittaker and also had a botched weight cut prior to this fight. But considering what Romero did to Weidman, and considering Rockhold leaves his head susceptible to punches...
Actually 2 or 3 seconds before the 3rd round KO, I actually said to my peeps, "you know Romero KO'd Weidman in the third round in a fight he was losing."
Another one for gay Jesus.

Jesus H. Christ, stop with these fucking interim belts. To demonstrate the worthlessness of these belts, UFC just stripped Tony Ferguson of his because of an injury that occurred less than seven months after he won it. Meanwhile, the Irish Burger King gets to keep his despite choosing to not compete in MMA in over over 1.5 years. Well that is until "the first punch is thrown" this weekend.
The UFC makes a strong case for MMA being an athletic spectacle rather than a real sport.
Looking forward to the athletic spectacle this weekend.

Yes I watched the very first UFC. I loved Ken Shamrock ground and pound specialist. Chuck Lidell was one of my favorites and Frank Mir as well. I only watch certain fighters now. The more exciting ones. I cant stand the guys that just take people down and control them just to win fights. They never really do any damage and its boring to watch. When the UFC first started there were no weight classes and no rounds. They fought till someone won. It was also a tournament where to be champion you would have to fight multiple time in a night. Pretty cool. You would see some crazy match ups. Now its alot more competitive skill wise and most fighters are well rounded.

So apparently the Burger King was jonesing to become the next Jon Jones career-wise. There is video footage of him throwing a dolly through a UFC bus window that had UFC fighters in it. Michael Chiesa was cut by it and has lacerations causing him to be pulled from his main card fight. Artem Lobov has been pulled as well.
He just (potentially) ruined two fights on UFC 223 and Dana White claims there is a warrant for his arrest (disputed). Think he's still worth too much to be in Dana's doghouse?
Then again, one would have thought there would have been consequences from jumping into a cage before a fight had been stopped, assaulting a referee, and then assaulting an MMA commissioner.
But money.

I just think about the clown pic that Aldo had of McGregor, when Mcgregor looks like a clown or something with rainbow color afro or some shit hahahaha, that´s exactly what he´s turned out to, a fucking clown, and a pathetic one as well. Just got a baby and acts like a complete moron getting himself arrested or a warrant for arrest. I almost forgot that he hit an employe in the face as well that other time he was acting out. Also a complete jerk pusy move to hit someone that is not trained in martial arts and you are a professional MMA fighter, total pussy.
Now they can build the Conor and Khabib fight to astronomical numbers, but I hinestly think that McNuggets don´t has the stones to fight Khabib, I think he understands that if he doesnt KO khabib early in the first round he will never be the same again unless he taps early to strikes, but the point is I think he Conor would demand irrational amounts of money for that fight knowing that there is no chance he will get that, he will avoid that fight I think.
Or he´s been on cocaine lately and has a psychosis thats an option as well.

Confirmed: three fights have now been pulled from the card because of the shithead's antics. I imagine he will soon be stripped of his only remaining title as the Irish Burger King.
Who knew that he could destroy a card faster than weight cutting and knee injuries.

Maybe kickboxing/muay thai is more your thing, if you don't care for the grappling. Not that anyone loves a grappling heavy fight that's lacking in submission attempts, ground and pound, or even scrambles.
If you do like dominant ground and pound, then you'll want to watch the headliner at UFC 223. Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the most dominant ground and pound-style fighters in the UFC.
