You can be anti antifa without being  a nazi. Im wholly agianst nazism and fascism. But due to antifas aggressive and inherently violent tactics, im agianst them too. You can be against an organization that calls itself antifacists  without being  a fascist. After all its just a name

You have already stated you are unwilling to invest any amount of time in learning about militant antifascism, you should stop criticizing something you are intentionally ignorant of.

Party over?

Oh no! Criminalizing wearing of masks? That's never been done before! Antifa is surely defeated now.

Really, anti-mask legislation has been around for a long time (although it varies by district). You aren't defeating antifa, you're empowering draconian government measures.

Also, did anyone else notice that nearly one third of the 'Unmasking Antifa Act' is text explicitly exempting police and other law enforcement? Ironic, because this is the group most routinely taking away the rights of citizens.

Woo! Empowering the police state for freedom!

No shit.  And every brown nosing patriot sees nothing wrong with that.

Why would brainwashed people see something wrong with their brainwashing?

The police already have special laws that punish them when they do something wrong.

Can you give an example of this? It seems quite standard for police to receive lighter sentences than the general public when they commit a crine (if charged/convicted at all), so I would be curious to see how these special laws are supposed to work.

Does 'unlawful use of force' only apply to police officers in California? My quick research shows that the federal statutes were not written to allow for claims against police officers if they used excessive force against a citizen, but the Supreme Court case of Monroe v. Pape expanded the statutes’ reach so that claims could be brought against law enforcement officers too.

So then it's not exactly a special law for police. Was I supposed to see anything else, other than the charges for excessive use of force (for which no convictions were made) when looking at the Rodney King beating?

The reason that they were charged federally is because they are police. If they were private citizens,  that couldn't have happened.

It's a long video, so I'll summarize:

  • Charlie Kirk, of Turning Point USA holds a speech at Colorado State University February 2nd, 2018.

  • Supporters, protesters, and antifascists all present.

  • ~1m30s Peaceful discussion on all parties.

  • ~33m Traditionalist Workers Party (TWP), a white-nationalist neo-nazi organization, shows up.

  • ~40m antifascists force TWP out, does not escalate into brawls.

  • With the fascists gone and the night over, everyone disperses.

This is what antifascism should look like.

Populists and nationalists are not fascists and nazis. We may be ideologically opposed to both, but we have to distinguish between the two. Fascism is most dangerous when it is able to sink into more populist movements; this night, your average redhat decided that the TWP are not their friends, and even if they called everyone "night-ruining commies" without distinction, it is apparent in the video which group truly unsettled them.

And it was also great to see TWP immediately getting the more aggressively militant response they deserved. Great that it never had to escalate into physical clashes (from what I saw) because deplatforming without escalating into life threatening violence is always great.

Hopefully those individuals at the front of the push were prepared for any sudden aggression, because this is a reality with antifascist action.

All in all, I greatly commend my compañerxs on a job well done.

Bonus points: camera operator calling nazis "racist communists".

Hah.  Retards on all sides here.
