My First Dub Tub grow along through 3rd flush

Just wanted to share my grow (because I'm stoked about it)
I started with prepping the WBS by: Boiling water and letting it sit in a bucket with the WBS for 1 hour. Filling quart jars with 1/4 cup verm and roughly filling 3/4 full with WBS
I used hamloafs lid tek on aluminum lids with a SHIP ( 3/4 inch hole, cut SFD a bit larger and used silicon to adhere with the blue injection port)
PC for 90 mins (I did have some burst grains, but thanks hamloaf for telling me to just go with it)

I used an SAB i made out of a 66 qt sterlite container. I coated the thing in lysol, waited 30 mins, sprayed the walls and ceiling with soapy water.
I inoculated used .5-.75 cc's of a B+ spore syringe.
About 7 days later a saw decent growth.
I shook 3 times, once at 13 days (approx 20-30%) once at 18 days (approx 60%) and once at 21 days (80-90%, i've since realized that last shake was probably overkill, and probably too close to the second shake, but it all turned out) these are approximate days because the jars weren't quite on the same schedule.
I was planning on spawning at 28 days but had a business trip and spawned at 30 days.
Tub A: I spawned 2 3/4 full quart spawn jars to 2 quarts of straight coir I followed the instructions on the package before finding this tek which i've since switched to: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11916595 to a 6 quart dub tub.
Tub B: I spawned 1 quart spawn to 1.5 quarts coir in a 6 qt dub tub.
I placed foil on the tray and poked a hole and covered with micropore tape (also have since learned this is overkill)
I let it spawn without peaking for 10 days, and then let them go for 2 more days before putting it in fruiting conditions.
Tub A:

Tub B: I placed a small 1/4 cup pf tek cake on the corner (i get this was dumb, but I was out of room in my fruiting chamber and it produced.... interesting results)
Fruiting conditions were a dub tub setup at temperatures ranging from 70-76 degrees. I misted once or twice daily (which was a bit too much) and pushed the lid off by about a quarter inch to allow better FAE.
Tub A roughtly 4-5 days in with lots of blobs

Tub A flush 1

Tub A produced 18g dry of medium to large sized fruits
Second flush I didn't get a pic but was about 8g dry
Third flush looks like a max of 4-5 fruits still as small pins
Tub B about 5-6 days in

Tub B a day or so later

(I didn't get a final flush pic because I had to have someone harvest due to a business trip but it produced 29g (dry )very small fruits but it looked like a pretty decent canopy on about 70% of the surface).
Tub B second Flush

(I had 2 large fruits come out at 4.1g dry and 4.3g dry that I've cloned and spore printed) Looks like there will be a third flush of about 4-5 fruits, with trich definitely forming on the other end of the sub away from the fruits. Hopefully they beat the trich!

Use 6500k spectrum light.
Nice tubs bro
Yeah the shaking was Overkill, usually people do about 30% and only once. Sometimes I'll shake twice rarely.

Nice tub!

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but this grow is very interesting to me, and I haven't seen this anywhere else (meaning I think that this is truly relevant).
It seems like the place around where you added the cake performed much better than the rest of the tub. The pin set was better, and the mushrooms were much larger and more and more densely packed.
What inspired you to do this?
Does anyone, including the OP have any theories as to why this happened?
My own guesses are: -greater nutrient variety in that area (Rice+WBS) -The cake robbing the substrate of precious surface area needed to spawn mushrooms -The resources that the mycellium in the cake would have spent on growing mushrooms was somehow diverted to the bulk substrate -Total coincidence -a weird lighting artifact, or some other environmental cause
What do you guys think? Could this actually increase yields? Maybe just increase mushroom size for impressive photos? Is it a total waste of time? At least worth the experiment? Maybe a PF cake could be broken up and used in lieu of, or in addition to one of the normal jars of grain spawn (i.e. using 5 jars of WBS + 1 BRF cake + coir/verm)?

People break up brf cakes and use them as spawn all the time.

Are you saying that people regularly use both PF cakes and grain as part of a bulk substrate, and that there is no evidence of increased yield as a result of this?
