Do you have white privilege?
For some context, here is a small list of people with one white parent and a black or Asian parent:
*Barack Obama
*Mariah Carey

Miscegenation, an outcome I have completed with my loins!
I can tell you my kids are considered "white" via being hypodescent.....as they have a "white" appearance....no one has ever asked or suggested they appear as my wife's race.

What the hell does any of this have to do with the advantage an individual may have based on his perceived race.
The extent that child would get the benefit of being a white person would depend on how white they appear.

Because a person's race is based off their parents, a person may inherit the color of white into their family tree, thus making them prosper more because they are tied to white privilege. They themselves are also half white.

Imagine a kid who is 18, kinda a pot head drives around with some weed in his car. Gets pulled over. He's white looking, so the cop decides not to get the dogs for a search.
Same exact kid, except he looks black. Gets pulled over. Cops searches the car. They find the weed.
Now white kid and black kid are on different life trajectories.
If you are black, you are more likely to be searched during a traffic stop. That doesn't mean the white kid won't get searched or that the black kid will. It just means when you add things up, a larger number in a group of black kids are going to be in legal trouble than the white kids.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

What I find interesting is that two people voted and said white privilege exists in mixed families.
According to the two people, it seems Obama could have used it, but didn't -- because in a later question they said he did not.
This makes me think that white privilege is something you can turn off or on.
I thought white privilege was inherited by no fault of our own?
If white privilege can't be turned off, then Obama used white privilege to help himself win the presidency.
If another black man with two black parents ran for president, there would have been no privilege.

Nonsense. It depends on how white you look. Obama looks like a black person to most people, so he wouldn't benefit much at all from white privilege. If he looked whiter, he might.

is it true that mixed race people (say a middle eastern person had a child with an asian person) that if they need an organ or something it is extremely hard to find a match? or is that bullshit?
if it is not then mixed race children are at a real disadvantage as far as getting organs go. lol.
I would never have a child out of my own race, but that's just me. I dont think other people necessarity should either but its none of my business. Me personally I would prefer the purebred children who come with a sense of belonging and sense of identity. mostly i think it is best to stick with your own race so you can ensure whatever race you are will be here many years from now.
it is critical however that EVERYONE be kind to one another and accept & respect others regardless of skin color. If everyone treated others how they want to be treated the world be a much more pleasant place to live.
