Is this mycelium? (Galindoi on agar)

Hi everyone, 9 days ago i took some clones from the middle of some sclerotia, and put them onto 5 pasty plates.
The clones turned into puff balls and then started growing out, however the growth in some of the plates is thick and fluffy, while the growth in others is more thin and flat. This makes me think it might not be mycelium. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Some of the plates came out very thick, so i used a little less agar in the others. Could this be causing the difference in growth?
THICK GROWTH
THIN GROWTH
Thanks

Sometimes things just work out like that. If u used less agar, the mycellium might just look thinner and not actually be thinner. If ur thicker plates have a darker color to the agar, the color difference will make the mycellium stand out more.

Sweet, so these all look like healthy mycelium to you? Some of them seem fluffy while the other ones seem to be growing completely level with the agar.

Hmmm. Well when i see that type of thin growth its usually low water content. Could that be the case? I would just keep a close eye on it, if its something else the color will show eventually.

Hmm i dont think so, i used a half cup of water in both batches.
Do you think i should make some transfers from these or wait a bit longer? Maybe a new batch of agar could make them all have consistent growth?

If these are the same tissue put to 2 different batches of media, then the media is likely your answer...I'd recommend a new batch of media at 2% nutrition. The first plate looks good.

Yea id do another batch and try transfering. But u can wait till it grows out a lil more unless its like barely moving.

Couldn't say as I make my PDA with potatoes and dextrose. All in all, that recipe looks a tad high in the sugar dept....I'd go with half that amount of kayro...I run mine at 1% dextrose...

Thats a lil too much nutrients. For 500 ml u want 10gs of nutrients. Try lowering the karo to like 8 gs. Unless someone else has better input

Sorry for double posting. But just fyi, u want ur nutrients to be 2%. Use 1000 ml of water to come up with a recipe. Then just use half of that. Ie 500 ml and whatever ur nutrients will be.

Or just multiply 2% (.02 in decimal form) by any volume you want to make to get the needed nute content...I suggested 7g of kayro as 7g kayro + 5g potato = 12g/500 = 2.4%

Oh yea that makes sense. I didnt realize a ml of water weighed a gram.
So should i do 5 grams of karo and 5 grams of potato flakes then so its exactly 2%?
