contamination or coloring of the mycelium?
    #24924922 - 01/19/18 07:58 AM (3 years, 3 months ago)

And here guys, I'm new here in the forum and I met him today too, first I want to say that my English is not very good so I ask you to correct me if I'm wrong at some point. I also do not know if I'm posting in the right place of the forum and if you do not forgive me too, lol.

so my question is the following, I started my cultivation last week on the 10th and the mycelium has already appeared. I inoculated 4 250 g polypropylene pots with B + strain, three of them are white (natural mycelium) and growing well, inoculated 2 holes each with 1 ml of spoils each. Only, that, but one of them I inoculated 3 holes and the same that inoculated the more this much smaller the mycelium and in the center of it there is a medium blue / green coloration but I have many doubts about it and I would like to ask your help for that matter. I separated this pot from the others, put it in another incubator by in case it was contamination did not pass to the others. Below are photos that were taken yesterday from the growing mycelium.

Right now, thank you !! Peace and light.

Today I took another look and now the place where you were born is "sweating", what do you think I should do? Play for nature do your job or let colonize and see what gives?

Sweating? Do you mean metabolites? If yes, its a lost cause.

Yes, they are similar to water droplets, inside the substrate pot.

In that case, the other pots that are incubating and showing no signs of contamination can remain the same? Or should I take some special care? They are capped with micropore + paper film as you can see in the photo I sent from the contaminated one.

Metabolites can indicate that the myc is under stress....this could be due to contamination. :uhoh:

The ones showing no contam signs just let them continue to colonize, but your questionable ones I would isolate them and be ready to ditch them if it gets worse...best advice I can give ya

As soon as I saw this coloring I already took it out of the incubator and put it in a small box of cardboard isolated. I'll wait and see what I can do from now on, but I'm not very hopeful. Anyway I have 4 more pots of substrate that I will inoculate this weekend, for the first crop is fine. Thank you very much for your help and support. One last question, is there any area here in the forum where I can report my crop?

You can post your grow log in the Mushroom Grow Logs and Pictures Forum if you're wanting to display your grow and get feedback from other users.

I took one more look this morning, the green contamination appeared more and more! This seemingly big one since the last time I saw it. I am thinking of throwing this cake to nature, but only that above the contamination there is a very white tip of mycelium, what do you think I should do? wait more? I'm afraid this contamination will spread to healthy cakes.
