Look at the 2 spots in my tub. The bigger one in the middle appeared in the 8 hours I was at work today, the one in the back appears to be have gotten a little bit worse. The one in the middle was fully colonized, healthy mycelium when i left for work this morning. Now it has turned blue and I can see the coir substrate underneath again. When I opened the tub to get a better look it was a very minty smell. like spearmint gum almost.
There is no green, the green in the picture is from my light, its a weird 2 band LED bulb, green/blue 5000k. any input would be greatly appreciated.

Need more info please..... How long has it been since you spawned your tub? 10 days?? I think overall it isn't showing any bad signs (from what I can tell.) Except for that darker spot... But maybe it just needs to finish colonizing more?
How long have you been fruiting? Generally, I think it looks ok though as if right now! Keep posted tho, goodluck!!!

Ive been in fruiting for 10 days, probably was 8 days or so colonizing before that. WBS to coir. Misted it once as it the surface was dry, have been fanning it in the mornings. I haven't touched it with anything, is it possible I bruised it just by fanning it? The only things I've seen about the minty smell are 2 posts that claimed it was trich but they seemed to imply that was after the green showed up, and I have no other signs of trich.
P.S. I now realize there is a contamination forum, I apologize for posting in the wrong place.

Not necessarily the wrong place.... If it was the moderators would have moved it appropriately.
Well you should be getting pins very soon mate, it hasn't been too long yet IMO. How's your surface conditions? Is the surface covered in fine, small beads of moisture?? If not you should lightly mist with as fine tip of a sprayer that you can get (I use a Flairosol ® bottle) and then I would also LIGHTLY FAN for a couple mins, although as long as your poly is loose enough you shouldn't have to fan, unless you mist too much, so don't overmist!! The reason for this is to promote evaporation of moisture from the subs surface, which is a pinning trigger. Make sure your FAE is good enough..... (A couple hours after misting you should have less droplets than when first misted).
Note: Personally I do fan my monotubs occasionally after misting IF I feel like it needs an extra breathe of fresh air.... You have to read your sub and kinda feel for what it needs!!!

Bluing sub is often caused by less than ideal humidity levels.

Its directly in front of the poly so its just a little dry spot probably.
I like to have the water droplets on the surface start to dry up directly in front of the holes, it tells me I'm giving the max FAE I can before the surface starts getting dry.

Well, checked on it again today, aaaaand trich. Had to dump it. This makes me worried about my other 3 tubs. 2 of them kinda smell similar, the last one smells perfect and healthy.
So i think we can definitively say, strong mint smell = trich.

Bad luck. How'd you prepare the bulk substrate?
Hopefully the other tubs work out

Did you fan with the lid? I'm not fond of lid fanning. It's like inviting every bug to the party.
It's better to have gentle air movement in the area and not blowing on the tubs.

party happened a long time ago once the stuff was spawned. so the lid fanning is old news and late. but fanning is old news anyway.
