Slooooow fruit
    #24921510 - 01/17/18 06:35 PM (7 years, 9 hours ago)

I've got some monotubs of p. cubes & they've been pinning now for over a week.
The growth is verrrrrry slow.. they're in a low area of my house where temps sit around 24c-25c. There's nice humidity as condensation is abundant on the walls & lid.

On some tubs i still have polyfil loosely put in the holes but on the one tub i have no holes - it is fruiting x10 more and faster.. interesting.

why am i getting slow fruits? I am leaning towards the temps being possibly too low.

pics below.

cheers!

I have been having slow growth problems in my monos and I think it is because of cold growing temps too.  Mine are 60-63 degrees f.

Idk why that one tubs growth is quicker, maybe genetics?  Are the temps warmer where the faster fruiting tubs are?

Yeah, i can't think of anything else other than the temps.. I might try putting some blankets over them.

Nope, all tubs in the same places. It must be the lack of holes because that's the only difference between the tubs.

Oh ok...... I'm thinking maybe the tub with no holes is accumulating enough heat from the mycellium to keep it at a more consistently warm fruiting temp than the ones with holes in them....

It has no holes so it's holding more heat!!!  That might be a good solution for fruiting in colder temps!!!  I bet ya the air temp in that tub is 5 or 6 degrees warmer (F.) than the outside air and the air in your tubs with holes, which could account for the faster fruit growth!!!......:takingnotes:

Very true my friend! Good perspective because it makes total sense and i can see the difference as black&white when looking at the tub.
The tub with no holes has alot more condensation..
