Orange/black spots in my jars. Help?!

Alright so today is the birth of 12 more jars but I have a small concern before I birth them.. I've noticed the treasure coast jars have these orange/black spots ONLY at the bottom of the jars. There is maybe 1 or 2 jars that you can hardly see the discoloration but it seems very apparent in most jars. I think it's important to mention that these spots haven't increased in size. There isn't any "line" or anything around them indicating that it might be a contaminant, but I am new to this and unsure at the moment. What do you guys think? I've attached pics of the 2 worst jars.

Throw that away. They are contaminated.

I wouldn't throw them away. It looks like rusting metal pieces. How did you make your holes?

I used a small drill bit to drill 4 holes. I thought it might have been that but I wasn't sure. How can I fix this? And are these still good to birth? It looks like I got 2 different answers...

As stated above, I think this is rust from drilling your holes. They were probably minuscule shavings that you might not even have noticed if you were looking for them.
Doesn't affect anything in my experience. I think you'll be fine. Don't worry about it and go ahead with them

If they are metal bits then they will be fine to birth. It won't hurt any thing. To me it looks like that is what it is, especially considering they haven't grown in size. Even tiny pieces can create quite a rust pool. The conditions are perfect inside your jar for rust to occur.
However there is a chance that it could, in fact, be contamination.
They look fully colonized. What I would do, birth them. Once they are birthed do a thurough inspection. Smell them, touch them, see what you notice. Look in the jars, if it is rust, it should be stuck to the bottom and you will find some small pieces of metal.

Honestly only reason I responded was because I didnt enlarge the pictures. 1 and 3 looked like they had large black spots. Cf right.

Update: I birthed all the cakes today and they were all in fact metal shavings. It all seemed to rinse off under the spout. Unfortunately I did lose 2 cakes due to some nasty blue culture spots but that was in a previous post. Anyway, I'll update later with pics when they start to pin! Thanks for all the input guys!
