Ok so the 2 agar recipes I know and have good results on are the LME and potato. I read you should change up your agar so they don't get use to the same thing how often do u swap them out after 2 transfers 3 10 40? Also when. It comes to the potato it says to simmer the potato for 30 min and then at the bottom it says 5g potato flakes can be substituted does this mean I place the flakes in and boil for 30 min then strain or do I just add the potato flakes and keep them in add agar and honey and just boil then pour? Ive been doing the just throw them all in and boil and pour but now I'm thinking maybe I should boil only the potato flakes then just use the water and remove the flakes

I would just do it the way ur doing. Especially if its been working for u. And persinally, id jist rotate recipes every other time u cook some up. Fyi people also swear by cat and dog food agar. I think 2% cat/dog food

There´s a fuck ton of stuff you can add at 2% and it will work great Also there is no need really to switch up the agar recipes. I think most growers use one standard recipe for the majority of their work. Perhaps another recipe or two can come to use if there is need for that. But for starting out with agar you really don´t need to switch anything up, find a recipe that works for you and stick with that until you feel you want to try something new.

Its debated whether you should rotate media and personally Ive only done it when I have a culture that seems to be getting weaker/lazier with each transfer.
I mix my flake, agar, water + karo or dextrose and PC at 15 PSI before pouring my plates.
