Ideally, smoking the leaves in a good, peaceful setting, perhaps taking account reverse tolerance and using them a few days in a row until I can break through. I hate the experience but I find it good for quitting habits so I would use it with the intention of trying to be happy drug free and to eat healthier.

In reality, they will probably sit around forever and then I won't remember if they are salvia or dream herb. I have tons of baggies of leaves I can't identify. Smoked a bit of one to see if I could figure out what it was. I couldn't. Lol. Fail.

I find removing the midrib of the leaf before they dry makes life so much easier later down the road.

A question regarding flowers.

How many weeks until flowering actually begins, after the first sign you notice the buds (that it's not a leaf but something else)?

Audrey, the new cutting in a 6L pot. 4 days after planting. More buried branches should surface soon.

Here's my sally, shes growing slowly but surely. Had 2, they both died, and from one came these two sprouts  She is in partial shade, i mist her alot and shes in a humid environment, Its been very hot here lately, so her leaves are struggling not to dry out. I hope she likes being next to old williamsii :rasta:

I noticed shaded warm heat she loves. Her leaves come out so soft in that weather. High heat, shaded too. I had one plant trained really well with full sun, high heat. I had to water that plant every day. The leaves came out very rough and rugged, to cope with the heat. Only high humidity is necessary when propagating, yes... otherewise she pops out with extra roots on here stems =) Socal weather is very calm in winter, in comparison to norcal. Winters in Norcal get cold, and sally would have to be wrapped up, or taken inside, during a cold snap. I was there a couple winters ago.

Thank you and thanks for the tips guys  im heaps happy to have her shes extremely rare where im from. Anyone got any more tips and know the growing rate of divinorum? Not sure if mine should be growing faster or not :stoned: i have noticed more browning also after using the humidifier, it helped at first but im leaving it on constantly, which may be causing the browning. Anyone got an idea as to why shed be going brown on her leaves edges?

To much humidity.

@Music2myears - i believe salvia is a perennial so should normally die off over winter anyway.

The root stock should be fine unless exposed to freezing temps for an extended time, like freezing solid.
But I have no worries of such trivial matters here.

For what I know, one foot a month easily if no given too much light - in which case the internodes become so short, like in my case that it grows in terms of new leaves but not so much in absolute height.

That would be maybe 5-6 pairs of leaves a month. I had up to ~4 (1 new pair every week) but with short internodes.

Also bigger plants are said to grow faster, all the way until they become pot-bound. Then their growth slows down.

Okay, should i aim to keep her in the shade/dark? I used to have a material hanging in front on where shes placed which gave her shade, it seemed to work well, ill give that a go also, thank you

What's the problem with high heat and low humidity?

It's been upwards of 37c (with one 43c day) here for the last week and ive only watered my baby once.

High humidity is only neccacerry when propagating, these guys like to dry out between watering.

I think a lot of people's problems are over care

It’s the drastic changes in RH here in socal. goes from 60% Rh to 15% within an hour or two. My sally seems to be doing good though

Just don’t let the sun hit her directly. She definitely likes light

This only really applies to perennials that live in areas that have a winter - being from tropical Mexico, Salvia d. doesn’t naturally have this kind of die back as part of its annual cycle. That isn’t to say that it can’t grow quite effectively from established roots if cut right back, though - it can! But I dont think the roots survive freezing temps for long.

This is the life cycle of the plant and with temps reaching below 10c in the colder months you would definitely expect this type of die back before new shoots appear.

I never said that it will survive subzero temps but if its 0c outside you can assume it's a few degrees warmer in a pot or we'll munched in garden, im sure it would be fine to lose all aerial before regrowth the same as any salvia.

Of coarse if you assumed I ment it could be frozen solid without ill effect, you're wrong
