This is day 10. Mex Tamps. Both pics taken Jan-15.
This is tray 1. If you look at the lower left corner you'll see a large node. To the right of it are three small nodes that have started to turn yellow.
This is tray 2. The first pin happened day 6.

What's going on with tray 1?

Anyone? What's this foam looking stuff? I don't think it's myc.
Need help. Should I toss it? Flip it and case?

the tub seems from the picture that it needs more air. the growth seems very fluffy (if you introduced fruiting conditions already).
hard to tell if it is an infection, it might be some metabolites secreted to combat another thing there.
when sth nasty like trich hits my tubs from sides, if i manage to catch it early enough before sporulation, i cut the part with a clean knife and toss the part, then spray with sth strong like bleach or peroxide to fend off contams for a while before spreading.

This is bad practice, cutting trichoderma at any stage sends mycelial fragments in the air making it easier for contamination to take hold in the future. Peroxide is only applicable for certain molds like cobweb, trich meshs in with the mycelium on a cellular level. Bleach serves no purpose other than cleaning, never spray it on your substrate.
Contaminated tubs should always be isolated/quarantined and not tampered with

That sucks. I wouldn't want to have to go through something like that. What happens if the spores release in the tub? Throw the whole thing out?
I've got more fresh air going in. We'll see how that goes. Some of the white nodes on the first tray are turning orange and a few other spots have gotten darker. Know anything about this?

yes guys.. i get your point. tx
'if i happen to catch before sporulation' was the underline there.
and i don't spray bleach on substrate of course.
anyways.. is that yellow corner invading the tub yet?

It doesn't matter if it's sporulated or not. If the trich has germinated and progressed to the point to where you can see it the grow is permanently infected with trich and trying to cut it out at any stage is only going to worsen the issue.

The yellow in the corner is the Tamp myc. So far from what I've seen of the Mexicana family, their myc is yellow-ish. It turns very yellow when you let it sit for stones.

I took the cake out of tray 1 and the bottom is bone dry with mushies. No growth on the top but quite a few on the bottom. The sides look partially dry also, some pinning. Only 12 days and bone dry like that? The top glistens tho. I'm going to dunk it for 4 to 6 hrs tmw and see if that does anything for me.
Do I need to re-case before putting it back in the chamber?

i save my pre-pin trays by cutting the trich infected part, even if i see slight green spores I sprayed with antifungal afterwards. trich is like cancer, removal of tumor and a dose of chemo works fine in my experience.
this works better temps below 21.

If you get trich the best thing to do is throw it in the trash or bury it outside.
