It's basically a giant fridge. If your pipes froze then I'd be concerned not just for the myceliums sake.

I want to just leave and forget some projects, like my truffles, but I'm addicted to watching colonization and recently, stone formation.
Not anymore. Sometimes i don't visit the grow room at all for a day or two. Just today I found another sporesplosion in a shoebox I had a grocery bag over.

How long did it take you to get past the "grow mania"?
I get irritated with myself sometimes for not just letting shit be. It doesn't help that it's all happening in my bedroom and I see it constantly but that's the only place my op works out, both in efficiency and keeping my girl off my back lol.
She's not very happy about the stray bits of straw scattered through the house by our cats lol
Maybe once we move into a bigger place (hopefully this spring) I'll be able to forget my projects for a couple days at a time since it won't be right in front of me.

Very true. I'd start going rock climbing again if the gym was heated, but since it's not tv and mycology are my 2 main pass times and I get tired of watching tv fast.

What's bht? I would take another transfer,or two. The way that culture looks like it's reaching for the air, kinda makes me look at it twice, and I wouldn't consider that a good thing

I've been using the bucket tek but I've been having shit contam issues (Eco Earth bricks).
I want to try proper pasteurization, but the oven method seems a bit messy (i'm a lazy fuck)
I saw some posts about doing it in quart jars in the pressure cooker, just boiling them, can't seem to find a great tek for that.
Any hints?

I just read OMC smoke a joint and totally forget about the grow room, and Iยดve noticed lately that I have less and less time for shroomery Soon when I get the Mexicana to germinate Iยดll practically live in the grow room and read shroomery on free days.
I finally got Pan Cyan germination on WBS took over three weeks and also noticed today that I got Pan germinating on BRF puck as well but much faster, in 6 days. No germination on agar plates yet.

pasterizing coir is not needed, just bring them to field capacity and pressure cook in jars or bucket tek the brick. the temperature in the bucket will remain above pasterization temps for 90 mins.
if you mix poo in there thats a different story, you must pasterize in order to keep benificial bacteria that will keep the sub from being infected by mold. coir has no benificial bacteria and is extremely forgiving.

Anyone have experience "shaking" your bulk sub during colonization? I used Milo and millet in my jars and it seemed to me by shaking those more often than the (25%-50%-75%) helps recovery and sped up my colonisation time. Just curious if this process could carry over to my bulk sub?... any thoughts??..GO!

Glad you're finally making some headway with those pan cyans Mateah.
I'm fighting the urge to get some oats going for my atl7 lc lol but I can wait till you got something clean ready.
I don't have anything I can work on other than that, my gh is at max capacity for oyster buckets and I don't have any other species to play with yet.

I dig it!. ... but?.. have you herd/ tried "shaking"?..(it kinda seems like) it'd be beneficial for innoc. Points being distributed thru the bulk, [or am I really just wasting time and energy for recovery]?...P.S. thanks for the quick response,..I actually already mixed it again, in another tub, after spawning 72hrs.prior
