Hello everyone so this is my second grow, and for my last one i just used a cheap dehydrator to get my fruits cracker dry. I've looked through alot of forums and used the search but couldn't quite find the answer im looking for. What is the most effective to dry your mushrooms without losing all the weight (i know im going to lose a lot of water weight) because i have seen others fruits that have been dried and they were thick and very in tact and just weighed so much! where as mine are always so frail and wispy if that makes since i just want to make sure im not over drying and losing weight in the way im drying my fruits thats all haha sorry for the rant ) i want some thick heavy guys you know

Dehydrators the best way and I don't believe you can over dry them. You want all the moisture out or they'll get moldy. Clone big mushrooms if you want heavier mushrooms

You want yours all brittle. That means they are dry.
If you want beefier shroomies either work on your ambient conditions or get into cloning. Ideally both.

Food dehydrators are the best method. You cannot over-dry mushrooms. Mushrooms are 90% water fpr the most part. If you put 100 grams fresh into a food dehydrator you're only going to be getting about 10g dry give or take a gram or so.

100 fresh usually turns to about 7-8 dried grams for me. 92-93% water
