Bulk subs won't colonize

Hi guys,
I hope you guys can help me figure out what's keeping me from getting results. I will post some pics and tell you what I know; my agar seems a bit slow but is clean looking. I can pour petri's and keep them outside of the fridge for, a long time, without a problem (I lose a few eventually when I pour a big batch). I think my sterile tek is OK. My jars look fine when inoculated with a agar wedge. They recolonize nicely after shaking. Inoculation through G2G works well too it seems (just started with G2G). I use oats for grains (see pic).
It seems like the problem starts the moment I spawn to bulk. Everything I try (Equador, GT and also Pan Cyan) fails. I get very slow colonization of the coir I am using. I have tried numerous mono tubs with unmodified lids. Some a bit wetter and some well squeezed out (really dry). I also tried straw and dung. And dung/coir/verm. Not one single shroom to show for.
I keep the lid in normal position the first week or so. Then I flip them. I misted them once a day at first. I have also tried to leave a mono alone (no misting). Same result... Some seem to be needing more O2 I noticed btw.
What else can I do? I am thinking of putting some grain from a jar on agar to test. I am almost sure it's clean spawn... I hope you guys can direct me in the right direction cause I am at the point I don't know what to try different...
GT jar 5th day after G2G

GTmono there is a very thin layer of fuzz over the uncolonized looking parts of the coir too. Is that a hint of something? (spawned at 1-4-2017)

same GT mono

EQ mini mono (spawned at 12-15-2017)

EQ mini mono (side and underside)

2th EQ mini mono (spawned at 12-15-2017)

2th EQ mini mono (side and underside)

3th EQ mini mono (spawned at 12-15-2017)

3th EQ mini mono (side and underside)

Contaminations before the first flush is indicative of dirty spawn.

Or in some cases bad substrate prep. But if you're using coir... Probably your spawn

Of course I knew "dirty spawn" would be amongst the responses of ppl. and I understand. You might (and probably will) be right. I mean what else could be the problem? But the thing is; I am so very precise in my sterile tek. I work very strict and the jars look fine. The agar looks fine. I do have success btw with sclerotia (I didn't even think of mentioning that!). It really seems to me that the myc almost stalls the moment I am spawning bulk sub.
I am thinking, is it possible that I am growing an almost invisible fungus as soon as I go to bulk because there is a high spore load in the air?

Doubtful. Make a tub with just coir no spawn. Mix it up as if you're spawning to it but then use that one as a control. My guess is only the tubs with spawn go bad. The tub with just coir goes bad maybe you can blame your air.

That’s sucks. Do you have pics of your agar?

when i found myself pondering the same thing it turned out my definition of a 'fine culture' was woefully ill informed.
especially when i did the transition from minirounds to petris.

Wow, that was really helpfull! I am going to do that for sure...
I am also going to try the following: sterilizing a pp5 minitub with coir. Breaking a colonized grain jar up on a phone book. Then dropping the grain into the pp5 container inside the SAB. Then wrapping the pp5 container with some saran wrap....
But the "creating a control" idear really kicks ass! Thanks Bod!
Yeah it really sucks Jhova. I don't have a pic of the agar that is helpfull. only a fully grown plate but that doesn't show much. But I get a nice and circular growth... I will post some when I started my new batch. There might be a clue in the slow growth that I get. My plates take about 20 day's to grow out fully.

What exactly do you mean mushboy? That might be my problem; basically I say "fine culture" because it's nice and circular and white...

I am also going to try the following: sterilizing a pp5 minitub with coir.
just make a mini round with a spoonful of grains and the rest hydrated coir. PC that. inoculate with CLEAN LI or fuckit just spores and top fruit.
might not yield a ton but look for other pp5 that will fit into your PC. my local chinese joint delivers soups in liter pp5s with lids
bottle them bitches those do yield a ton

Good one! That saves a step . Thanks... Just as a method to eliminate the possibility that my air is loaded with spores..
