Re-'noccing plates that didn't take the first time?
    #24901046 - 01/09/18 03:25 PM (7 years, 8 days ago)

I inoculated some plates from spore solution a little over a month ago.  I guess all that made it onto the agar was distilled water because there has been no growth to speak of.  Except for one, which shows a spot of bacteria, they still look clean.

I'm wondering if there is any reason I shouldn't reuse them?  I'm going to inoculate some fresh ones later and was considering doing the old ones too..

Thanks

They dry out sometimes but Iโ€™ve totally used plates that didnt take I used again with success. Agar is so cheap though so most people would say why risk it.

I'm sure you could get away with it sometimes, other times probably not- not worth the risk to me
