Scaling Down, what do you recommend

I've had my fun with bulk this past year, but its time to be a bit more responsible.
I love the hobby and my mushies are my edible enlightenment babies, so I still want to have some going for myself and friends only.
I'm thinking small shoeboxes or bottle tek (i failed miserably before with the plastic ones, so I'd use my quart jars).
What would you do in my situation? Discrete with good yield, a chance to keep improving my genetics and skills but without a huge commitment.

Check this out. Cake pans.

Sorry about the blurry pic. Just a 9x13 cake pan. They come in 2 packs with the lids. Then i just make it like a tiny modded monotub. Works great. I use 2 qts spawn for each one.

Shoeboxes. You still have your hobby, you can still do your cultures and upgrade each culture after each grow. Stealthy and easy

I would argue PF cakes/SGFC are pretty stealthy and are small quantity.

Stones are easy, plus if you've not done them will definitely be fun.
They're all basically the same strain (p. Mexicana) so you can't go wrong. I had my best success with Galindoi/Atl7.

Ok thanks. Ive read u can produce stones in a mono? Does it require a certain bulk substrate to produce good stones?

Most people let the stones produce just in the jars/bags, easier and less space consuming than spawning to bulk.
However when people to spawn to mono/shoeboxes (generally they're going for fruits) they continue to produce stones.

You can grow stones right inside of your jars with nothing but straight grain. Super easy, basic, and low-key

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21390984 This would be my suggestion. It’s exactly what I reduced my grows to in your situation. Single-step, just sterilize and inoculate. Instead of preparing bulk subs, handling tubs and liners, and big cleanup, just crack the lid when colonized and wait, water when necessary which isn’t often. This tek and my methods as a whole offer me a satisfying amount of culturing in just a few cubic feet of space. A single cabinet is more than I need to do a lot.

Thanks guys. I would go back to cakes but I don't want to go back to MS, and I haven't been lucky with syringe LI or LC.
I think I'll just do the bottle tek with quart jars, use agar wedges and call it a day. I already have everything I need.

Whats wrong with agar to cakes. All you need is a different lid and skip the verm barrier...
Agar to quart bottle tek will take forever

I already have over 50 quart jars though :p Although I'm intrigued. Wouldn't cakes be too dense to properly spread it around? Or leave enough room for shaking?
edit: Also, what if I did pint sized cakes in quart jars, that way they have a lot of space to be shaken, and then I just drop the wedges in there? Would that work?
Cause I was going to look at shredded straw and whole wheat, but BRF and verm never failed me.
