That would support that right? If the general rule is 90%, but in reality it's 94%ish, and trips are stronger (I get it's not the most scientific), then they most likely are more potent fresh(at least anecdotely).

Right. It would be a hard to measure type of thing. Doing so based off the trip is also hard as so many things can affect how intense the trip is. I find fresh hard to choke down, although I will say doing it with a bag of Funions isn't to bad, lol, they help mask the taste some.

If I dried 50g fresh I would end up with about 3g dry, and I´m PRETTY sure that 50g fresh would blow my socks off and 3g dry would produce a decent trip
It´s hard to compare but from experience it seems that a huge amount of actives get destroyed during the drying process.

to solve all these problems just eat soooo many shrooms that the dosing itself becomes pointless cause you just loose count of the individual experiences and its just like...one big experience man.
perfect dryness for me would be 24hrs on the dehydrator no matter what the size. although sometimes monsters need longer.

not at my house. sometimes 1gram of good dry cubes is overwhelming. how do you dry? (other seasoned trippers i know say the same about the shroomies i gift them)

Damn 50g dry to 3, that's a shit return for sure. Yes they are more potent, but I SERIOUSLY doubt the active chemicals would truly measure double if properly tested in a lab.

I use a food dehydrator for about 12h longer is really not necessary with my small to medium size fruits.
I have yet to end up with more than 8g dry from 100g wet, usually I get to keep around 6-7% of the wet weight.

Luckily TMH420 was kind enough to hook me up with better genetics so hopefully I will soon get that 10% return on my investment

clone better genetics so your not harvesting trays of hollow tooth picks?
i used to noticed more like 96% dry from shroomies that were not only MS but just grown in sub optimal conditions as well. the combination of improved cultivation skills and cloning beefier shrooms has led to not as much weight loss.
maybe its more of the proper conditions and less of the genetics??? i honestly dont know. although i dont even measure wet anymore so ... im just talkin out my ass i guess.

I´ve been growing a clone lately and I made a weak tea yesterday only 1g that I split with gf cause I had some SAB work later, but it became too intense an hour later and the apartment actually started to breathe and move. From only 0.5g of a regular cube, that´s pretty awsome. I have to say so far I´m pleased with this 'watery' clone.

So I don't know if I'm an idiot, but I cranked the heat up and gave them another day. I take them out and they are cracker dry... I broke tons of them just to double check. Look a little cooked even. I put them in a 5 quart container lined with dessicants and a day later they have a slight bend if I pinch them. The flesh of the ones I snapped can bend a bit withought breaking. What the hell am I doing wrong?
I'm not going to lie, I'm really happy that the hardest part has been drying. I followed all direction to a perfect T, and I've lost 4 out of 24 jars, and 1 out of 3 small(1 quart spawn) bulk grows... I just don't get how I'm screwing up what seems like the easiest part.

If I was only planning on drying a few ozs of booms and never planning to do it again, I would prolly buy the damp rid. Single use.

I'll look into that, but I'm hoping for a way to fix the current method.

I store my in a doggy bag on top of the fridge where the air is totally dry, can even leave the bags open and the shrooms stay perfectly crispy. Storing them In a dry place is of course important if you are not vacuum packaging.
