Do yourself a favor and get the 23Qt presto. This hobby is addicting fun and you will probably want to do more down the road. The 23QT will hold up to 10 QT jars. Should you buy a small one and then want to do more at once, well you will regret not getting the bigger one, lol.

I was thinking about buying 23qt presto. But when i saw (youtube video) how big it is, i changed my mind.

So since BuffGuts wrote he lives in tiny condo, i doubt he will have space for 23qt. 23qt is a big monster PC.

@BuffGuts:
mason jar capacity for 16qt presto: 12 Half-Pints, 10 Pints, 7 Quarts.
mason jar capacity for 23qt presto: 24 Half-Pints, 20 Pints, 7 Quarts.
Jar capacity is copy/pasted from official presto website. But if i remember right, one of the TC's said you can get 10qt jars into 23qt presto.

That is for ACTUALL canning. In the 23QT we can lay 3 jars of grains on their side on top of the other 7, thus getting 10. You cant do that for canning foods but can or grain jars. Also sorry but a 23Qt pc is not that damn big. That's not much more than a 5 gallon bucket.

A 5 gal bucket isn't large, unless you're literally living in a sedan or a small tent

...and even then, i'd still go with at least a 23qt

TheMadHatter420, Apples in Mono and all users who would rather go with 23qt.
I understand the reason for 23qt. But i'm also one of the people who lives in small condo. I would love to buy 23qt, but i will have to go with 16qt.
And here is one more reason why. Since i live in small apartment i also don't have a lot of space for large quantity of monos. So 16qt PC will be enough (at least for me).

Here you can see 23qt presto which is more or less the same size as lady's upper body. Yes, she might be "tiny"...

This lady does not look "tiny" and presto still looks big to me.

@BuffGuts: you should find out (your max) how many minis/monos would you be able to grow at the same time. Calculate how many qt of spawn you will need for X number of minis/monos and then decide which presto to buy based on that. Because like TheMadHatter420 said, you might want to grow more after a while.
Is 4qt spawn your max?

I don't want to convince anyone to buy smaller PC. I just thought i should let BuffGuts know that he should check out size, before buying PC. Which size to pick might also depend on how often you will be using your PC. If you need to use your PC every day, then 23qt would be winner, for sure. Otherwise i think 16qt might be more than enough for people with space problems/limitations.

Copy that. Totally appreciate the knowledge. Think a PC is one of those things ill get on craigslist or maybe just borrow from someone!
