Agar contamination or not?!?!

Injected Texas LC into green plates, what i got was White dots, The other One was a sporeswab from Samui strain. Its a very pale White color but with rizo growth. Looks Kinda like cobweb but with rizo growth. Contaminated or not?

The first three look like they could be mold(mycelium) and cube mycelium colonies. Always kinds hard to see thru those containers.

How long do you usually wait to se proper growth on agar. Could take better pics if that helps.

My agar plates fully colonized in a months time.
You can use them before that though.
I kinda had a surplus amount. By the time I got to the plates I have now I saw little musshies growing on them haha

Okey guys thanks for the answers. I will wait for more growth on the agar and surely then could you tell if it's a contam or not. I had lots of jars stalling on the Texas strain so I wanted to see if it's contaminated because the guy I got it from told me it's totally clean and got harvests from it. Even though he used an oven for sterilization.

I don't think any spore syringe in the entire history of spore syringes has ever been totally clean.

Spores aren't totally clean unless fruited invitro on sterilzed substrate.

Okey, the one agar disk with a triangle hole colonized the whole dish. No rizogrowth, but cobweb. The triangle I cut out was transplanted into a clean agar dish to se if it's a contam. After a few days the whole dish was colonized. Cobweb for sure. I'm just waiting for the white dots on the Texas strain to develop more. Looks clean ATM. Should I post pics to be sure?

You see how you have germination all over the place? It makes it really hard to decipher clean germination from mold colonies, bacteria etc.
Next time don't just inject spores onto the agar. Place one drop of spore solution on the plate and then use a sterile inoculation loop to swipe the spores across the plate in a zig zag pattern.
This way you can the the germination following the zig zag pattern, makes it easier to see clean germination to transfer from.

Take transfers from a couple different spots to new plates. You should be able to start a culture going from that
You wanna transfer as soon as you see germination

Unless you have a better idea that is all you can do Besides make plates and streak the spores rather than put a drop that rolls everywhere

Yes No problem. What is the purpose of doing that, is it to stabilize the strain?

Its so you have a general idea where germination should be occurring. If you see a nice zig zag pattern of germination and then on the other side of the plate there is a white spot. It could be some spores fell over there and germinated but could just as easily be a mold colony.... You'd be much better off taking a transfer from the zig zag.
When you drop liquid on the plate, it rolls all over the place and it can be hard to tell what's myc and whats could me a mold colony, the myc might touch bacteria, etc

i transferred today som random spots to 4 clean plates. Im wondering if I could just throw the whole plate what's left of it into a jar and watch what's happening.

Hard to tell. Looks like mycelium but may have some meshed in bacteria. Make transfers

Hard to see in the first one may be something nasty in there the second one looks good, transfer both.

Yes , the healthiest spot furthest from any bacteria or mold colonies
