Cleaning out my bubbler...

Sorry if this is the wrong section of the forum to post this, but I just recently bought a semi-used bubbler off of a friend and want to know a good method to clean it out. I hear it's good to soak it in rubbing alcohol overnight, then let it sit in room temperature water after that. I think I'm going to try that out tonight tonight, but before I do that, does anyone have any easier ways to clean it out with household products?

Another thing I'm confused with is how you're positive that all of the chemicals from the cleaner are out of the piece after soaking it in water.

Alcohol and rock salt. Shake it like no tomorrow. Rinse it out until it is all gone. The only thing that isn't a household product is water. Use hot water if you can't afford $3 for alcohol and salt.

I have it soaking in rubbing alcohol right now. Should I just add some salt and start shaking? Thanks for the response.

Acetone works better than alcohol, but alcohol is more readily available.

Just wash it thoroughly with water after you give the alcohol time to evap out to get rid of any nasty taste/chems.

Put salt in there and shake it till it's clean. Acetone is nail polish remover in case you have some of that in your house.
