Will this brand of agar work?

Hi everyone, I'm gonna be trying agar out for the first time, and I am only able to find one brand near by, not the usual telephone brand I see people use.
Does anyone have experience and/or know if this will work?

Thanks

Sweet I'll buy this bag then.
Do you guys have any recommendations on where to find potatoe flakes. I'm at whole foods right now but don't see them.

The other 2 ingredients are asian moss used as thickener. You might want to stear clear of that brand and go for the brick type used in pasty's no pour tech or telephone brand 100% agar-agar.

Damn alright, would those other Ingredients just make it a different consistenty or would the mycelium not even be able to colonize it?

Dude, that's the agar I use. Those other ingredients are simply other algae that agar is extracted from. IMHO, Telephone brands sucks...I don't like the consistency. Here are my results with the sea flakes brand:

Sweet thanks for the reply, I'll stick with this brand for sure.
Those are some awesome pics. I actually just spawned some ATL #7 to some cvg 2 days ago and it's already starting to Colonize .
I put a pseudo casing layer on in the beginning, would you reccomended casing it again after full colonization?

Once colonized, I’d get a pasteurized peat based casing on it for sure. I’ve been using jiffy and sand with garden lime for tamps with good success. RR says not to use garden lime (dolomitic) as the magnesium is too high, but I’ve also seen it stated that that’s only relevant if growing agaricus...either way, I picked up some crushed oyster shells to use instead and will compare. Hope to see some fruit popping off that atl7!

I like this brand of agar. I’m still hunting online for a cheaper brand I like as well. I did buy several packs of telephone brand and didn’t like the consistency. The one good thing about it though, is it can be used at 1.25%, so it goes a bit further. I don’t think there’s a difference really in terms of flakes v powder...I would think both would be easier than a bar, however.

Alright sweet that's what Ill do, thanks for your help.
If I have a 1 inch substrate depth how much of the sand/jiffy do you think I should use? And do I let the pseudo casing layer completely colonize as well?

Yeah, let the pseudo-casing colonize and use 1/4 inch of jiffy/sand or other peat-based casing.

Sweet, appreciate the help.
I got a shoebox with a pretty small height for this, so I'm worried about their being enough room for them to grow.
After I case it do you think it would be ok to flip another tub ontop and dub tub it?
