SUB moisture indications.

Im just wondering what kind of indicators can help in determining over saturated substrate or to dry substrate that would result in poor fruiting?
if you pinch a chunk of substrate, and squeeze to check the water.
If it squeezed out at "felid capacity" with quite a bit of moisture toward the end of a flush i can guess that would be to much water?

The end of the flush? Wouldn't you check prior to mixing spawn with your substrate?

seems to much water is stickking around to long. Like its not getting used by mycelium or evaporating quick enough?
Idk . Im kinda stumped on determining if its to wet or to dry at this point as im getting small ass fruits.

no pooling. just seems like substrate is over saturated.

thats my guess.
Its the end of the flush like veils are opening . Great pin set but tiny guys.
If i pinch a little substrate and squeeze water drips out. Youd think it would have used most of the water by now .

Yeah we need to see better pics brother man, I'm currently going through the same dilemma as you, I'm at day 5 of fruiting conditions with fuck tons of knots but no pins yet and I keep going back and forth over if my surface conditions are dialed in or not :/
I have my bulk tray in my green house with tons of rh and I mist maybe 2x a day depending if there is a heavy set of water beads or not. I'll add a few pics for examples.

This is the tub when i woke up this morning. I need to pick the small fruits out of there.
Its hard to see but there is little beads of water on the surface.
Theres pretty much never a time when it dosnt have droplets on the surface.
But still the substrate seems soggy even tho it dosnt look like it.
If i grab a pinch full and squueze it , she drips out like its feild capacity.
Im getting pretty stumped. SHould i still dunk it for round 2?
Im thinking just mist heavily and keep it fruiting

the reason i dont think surface conditions are my issue is because i am able to get quite a nice pin set and always have moisture of beaded water on the surface.
I feel like the whole mass of substrate is just to soaked, i mean it shouldnt squueeze out at feild capacity at the end of a flush right?
Theres no way i wana dunk this thing for flush 2
