    #24883356 - 01/01/18 03:39 PM (7 years, 16 days ago)

Monotub has been colonizing about 10 days should I fruit now or wait a couple more days?

I hope not it smells like earthy shrooms. No really sour smell. It started out as a pf cake and I crumbled it up into about a inch of bulk.

So here's the first picks. Small fruit and it's not really a flush but more like a continuous fruiting. What do you guys think? How can I get my fruits larger and a more even flush?

Fruit size ime is largely genetics as well as nutrient density (not sure if others would agree with that, but ime compost or hpoo > coir which weighs more per volume and I always get bigger fruits; logically I don't see why it would not be true either, that's exactly what I'd imagine one would expect). You also get bigger fruits in later flushes for whatever reason.

Larger flushes is a combination of genetics and surface conditions. Ime to go for canopies it is best to evaporate/dry out the surface upon initiating fruiting by providing an abundance of FAE. After that, or if the surface was already dry (by "dry" I mean no condensation) then mist and fan. Ideally you do not have to fan, but that takes a dialed in monotub which takes some trial and error and if it were dialed in you wouldn't be asking the question.

Genetic wise if you have multiple different cultures that have not bonded to work together then they will fruit at different times and there's nothing you can really do about that, agar work/culture selection will solve that.
