I would like to think this is all clean growth but I can’t say for sure. I need a second opinion, from a more experienced set of eyes.. please & thank you.

I don’t see any mold..... looks to me like a bit of uncolonized grain surrounded by seemingly healthy growth
I’m not the most experienced set of eyes though, so get a 2nd opinion

Looks good, don´t mind the tiny uncolonized spots that are pressed up against the glass, the wet looking grain might be a bit bacterial but that will not stop you from harvesting a nice flush or two

So you think they will be ok for grain to grain transfers or spawning??
The uncolonized grain looks kinda fuzzy and not like mushroom mycelium to me.. If you zoom in you can get a better view of what I mean.

Yea i zoomed and saw it. If it doesnt get any denser thats not good. But if it starys getting thicker its just weak myc. Yeast is white dots. Trich is mumpy white mold. Cobweb, maybe.. but u just gotta wait and see. Post another pic after 2 days from the last pic. Which is today right? Look any different?

Jars look to have a lil bacteria goin on. Ive spawned jars like that with no problems. Its just a gamble. Spawn it and hope for the best. Atleast u dont have trich or something worse. U can still fruit bacterial jars its just not optimal. Bacteria slows growth ect. But as far as g2g, all ur new jars will have the same problem if u do that. Mycellium has a hard time recovering with bacteria too.

I'm new but I'm also ocd about food con-tams and would never touch anything that stood a chance of being contaminated with mold...given that I would eat that shit
You're so far along to first now have contam's start to thrive don't you think? but it's obviously possible, just not probable with such a large and healthy amount of mycelium IMH

Well bacteria isnt mold. And bacteria is in every grow just in different amounts. Bacteria is everywhere. And fruits from a bacterial jar are safe to eat. If theres a visable contam like mold with colored spores, thats when u dont fuck around with it. Bacteria isnt the end of the world if its a small amount. If the bacteria is bad it wont even fruit.

My jars aren’t bacterial I can assure you tht. The tempature in room I’m storing the jars flunctuates from 75 during the day to 50-60 at night. So the condensation is from the tempature change.. inside the jar is always 5 degrees warmer than the ambient tempature outside the jar. There isn’t sign of bacteria like metabolites either.
I was worried about possible mold like cobweb or even a white mold, but y’all say all is well so I feel a lot better Thanks guys

The way the mycelium is growing around that area of grains rather than uniformly over it makes me think that you have some bacteria in there as well. There are some metabolites present. As stated above though, you can spawn those grains and you’ll likely be fine.

Upon further inspection I do see tht there is a few metabolites present. Does it matter if it’s clearish yellow or dark orange? I’ve always heard tht the darker metabolites were the ones to watch out for because they indicate contamination.
But alright! I definitely won’t G2G any of these jars.

I’ve never tried it, but I’m guessing you could inoculate some agar with one of your grains then transfer healthy growth away from any bacteria. Meanwhile, you could take the rest of your grains and try spawning it to bulk

Next time, up ur pc time a lil. It made it most of the way without getting bacteria. But a spot that looks normal but just wont colonize is usually bacteria. Lets just say im familiar with it. Lol. I pc for 2 hrs now and have no problems anymore

It’s not a big deal, I already went ahead and started 10 more jars from agar wedges the other day. So there’s that..

i do that anytime i forgot to save genetics on agar. it works wonderfully.
