Someone sent me this picture of oyster mushrooms they found in a grocery store. To me it looks like new spores germinated, started growing off of the parent and then pinned. That seems unlikely though, has anyone seen this before?

I made my first clones the other day (from normal oysters), hopefully I can get those grown out eventually and have more relevant pictures

Hugo those are freaking awesome clusters! Are you using multispore or a clone? Also would like to know how you're doing fresh air exchange. I have a duct fan at one end of my room and I don't think it's quite cutting it. I need more turbulence.

Thanks!
I buy the grain "infected" with the myc and then I prepare the substrate.

I have a 309cfm exhaust (24/7)but it's working to put air from outside of my garage to the inside, and I have around 16m of tubing. I tested using as an exhaust but I was not happy with the results so I inverted it and it's working well. I did 3 holes in the plastic(FC side) on each shelf so the air is forced to go out through that holes, so all the shelves get ventilated. Now I'm working on a second shelf to put on the opposite side of that one, so I will double the bags. (I can put around 1ton of substrate in my FC)

About the humidification, I have a 2 sprinkles that has 4 heads and It's working 30s ON, 4h OFF. I also have an ultrasonic fogger (1 disk only) but it's not enough that ultrasonic, but at least gives something. The RH is around 80-85%.
Soon I will improve the humidification and the FAE system too, I'm not 100% happy with it, but it's working OK.

Keep up the O2 and light levels, they will stay that colour for much longer.
Golden oyster's are pretty much sun oysters, they love the sun.

They will also release copious spores to intense light.

Hey Ferather: just spawned some of that Tarragon (finally). 9 HWFP 9 Pine: an old fashioned side by side. Both supplemented at 20% bran.

Have you smelt the filter patch yet? There should be an almost perfume smell.
It fruits horizontally very well, so vertical will be interesting.

Tarragon produces: Linalool and Coumarin.

It is used by pest professionals as a flea, fruit fly and cockroach insecticide. It can also be used a method of pest control for codling moths.

Coumarin, C9-H6-O2, Mycotoxin:

Various biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, among others.
Toxic to animals in high doses, can cause liver and kidney damage. Median lethal dose (LD50) of 275 mg-kg.

----

Tarragon oyster is fully edible, it contains: 2.6mg coumarin and 0.9mg linalool, per kg.
