Do these fruits look ok?

The heads look darker than my first cake. Can anyone diagnose or recommend anything? Lay off the water? My first cake only had fruits from 2-4 inches. Is there something I can do so these turn out better?

If you want more fruits and bigger fruits, you'll need to isolate, have monotub conditions dialed in, spawn to bulk and ditch the cakes as well as your current tek, also use enough spawn jars because if you skimp on the spawn you'll never get that full canopy

I skimpped on my spawn and it seems to be taking very long to fruit ( pins to full fruit )
Although this pin set is not to bad. prob not canopy worthy tho.

Seems to me pins take a while to reach an inch or so but once they do, they grow hella fast

Well I'd quote everyone to say thanks, but haven't figured out how to do more than 1 quote. Thank you for the info. I'm in the middle of rye berries colonizing, but I think I screwed up the water content.
I'm also playing w agar but can't seem to keep them for colonizing myc.c... plenty of green mold. I'll keep on trying.
When you go for a clone or isolate... Do you just go for the biggest fastest?

Don´t change anything whatever you´re doing, that cake looks healthy as a walnut Also you don´t need to ditch the cakes to do bulk, this is BRF cakes broken up with a cheese grater and mixed with coir inside a 20L tub

Oh that's awesome. I can try that now. What's your ratio of cake to coir? Also, can I mix strains? Or not a good idea?

I sure you can spawn different strains into the same tub it will still me cubensis MS grow. A strain is created when two spores mate successfully. I´m not sure tho which of those strains will dominate and take over if it happens to be that one strains is more adaptable than the other, but you´re probably not gonna notice anyway which of them is growing so.. Which were they btw?
That tub I posted was spawned with eight 1/2 pint BRF cakes to 3L coir. Grated the BRF cakes and mixed with the coir, full colonization in 3-4 days. Left to colonize for 6 days in total before introducing fruiting conditions. Usually starts fruiting 15 days after spawning. GL

True, I misspoke. I meant ditch fruiting cakes as is, and mix em with coir

Those are B+, next door is Costa r, and Burma. Yeah, my first few cakes I didn't set up a cap to water so I was going to do my best(because there are some really low pins). I'm good on the couple after that.
When you say mixing varieties not strains you're saying all cubensis can be mixed becayse the Costa Rican versus the PE is just a variety and not a strain, but I couldn't mix p. Cubensis with p. Mexicana? I never know because it seems like the word is used interchangeably on here.
