Can BTC upgrade transaction time without making another coin?

ETH developed a classic head shoulder head on the 4hr chart. I expect ETH to be bearish for the next few days.

Does it matter where I store my BTC? I'm making about 5-6$ in CURE (cure coin) a day via folding@home but as far as I can tell all you can do with the currency is trade or donate it. So I exchanged some of my cure coin on livecoin.net, had to move the CURE from my curecoin wallet to the site and now my BTC is there, not much but I don't know if I should keep it there.

I have a wallet set up that will hold BTC its called Counterwallet. I have that set up to receive FLDC (folding coin) but they don't pay out daily like cure coin, I don't have any yet next payout is 8.5 days from now.

I hope so, if it dips below 700 I'm swapping over some bitcoin/alts for 20 of them and holding forever, I think this year coming up ethereum is going to be in the spotlight way more then it is now. I didn't want to get rid of the 5 I had originally but it ended up paying off by a lot

To receive forked coins you must have control of your btc wallet. Or have an account where they will credit you for them.

Segwit2 has not gone into effect yet though there are segwit wallets you can use right now which speed things up. The fork which is supposed to happen today or tomorrow is said to include changes to speed transactions but I'm not really sure about it.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)

Transferred my .062 btc to binance, I read conflicting information on bittrex support for b2x. Don't want to take a chance and miss out on free coins.

Curious how this is going to play out. This is the first hard fork I've been involved in.

Block 501,444 now.

How soon will we have access to these extra coins?

You know, I case I wanted to dump them?

Will they just appear in a binance wallet?

Binance won't give trading access to you at first...will have to wait a few weeks(?) for the market to settle down a bit, then they can see about adding it as a trading pair.

A snapshot of their wallets is taken at block height 501451, so whatever you have in Bitcoin at the time the block is mined, you will be given that much B2X when they get around to adding it.

I may begin trading on binance, after hearing what congress is trying to pull, taxing every single transaction as a potential gain.

Was watching some YouTube trying to keep up to speed in cryptos land.

I honestly don't think IRS is going to be able to keep up. There are many people who are not going to bother recording every single trade, how much was traded, what the price of BTC was during the trade. Just a bunch of damn near impossible nonsense. And if you're running a bot that's capable of thousands of transactions per day, who in their right mind would even attempt an audit of all those transactions. Many are continuing to do it the old way, pay when they cash out to dollars and figure taxes then.

Another thing. If there are people in other countries trading on a US based exchange, will they be taxed? And if so, how in the fuck?

Any thoughts?

Me personally, I'm dealing in such a small amount of money that I'm not even going to bother unless I start raking in five figures, over $10,000.01.

On coinbase you don't have control over your private keys so whether it will work for you depends on the decision of coinbase since they're in control of the private keys.

since they haven't made an announcement about it at all I don't think they care about this fork.
