Cobweb mold or aerial mycellium???
    #24870844 - 12/27/17 05:16 AM (7 years, 22 days ago)

So here is some back ground, I spawned 1lb of rye to 5lbs of bulk substrate on the 12th of this month. I just put it into fruiting this morning but what's worrying me is the patch closest to the camera (bottom) of the tray in the pics. When I gave the sub a light mist to obtain surface moisture beads the area in question was so fluffy and airy it sort of compacted by just getting a light spray so idk if it's all good or cobweb there :/

It smells verrrry shroomey and the other parts of the tray look nice and healthy lmk how it all looks guys! Thanks

And there is a little bit of spray paint art I did yesterday on 2 grams of my last grow:D

I literally just took the plastic off and introduced fruiting like 5 seconds before I took this pic, I'm sure with 4 holes and top holes it will be getting plenty of FAE.

And yeah 85% of the tub looks like super healthy white myc but the 15% in question is the closest to us in the pic and when I first peeled my saranwrap off from covering the sub it might have been tryin to colonize the plastic and just aired up with it.

It was just weird misting it and seeing it kinda "scrunch" up or move like cotton candy being sprayed with water :/

I do see the spot youre talking about, fluffy myc usually just means increase fae, but it's completely fine

In my opinion, that does not look like cobweb mold. Your tray looks healthy.

If you are really concerned, I've read RR in the past saying to spray it with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution and that will get rid of the cobweb. In this case though, I think you're good to go.

BTW your art is dope!

Some of its aerial.  There's no cobweb.  The aerial myce will subside after it's been in fruiting for a few days.

Thanks brother! Yeah I was on my back porch making it and some mother and like 8 yr old boy told me they would give me 40$ for it and I'm like SOLD! Lol.

And thanks for all the replies fellas! I'm really hoping this tray starts pinning quick since it was colonizing since the 12th, but I also used 1lb rye to 5lbs sub so that could of caused the slow down.

That one with the trees and the river is amazing. What size is it? And would you part with it?
